A stunning beach, with quiet waters and very soft sand. The bars that serve lunch are oke if you need a snack and the ambience is very peacefull. I loved this beach, it's so peacefull and serene. Avoid going on a Sunday though, because it is most likely to be completely crowded. more

The beach here is wonderful. We went the first week of June and it wasn't too crowded, but it might get that way during high season. Unfortunately, we found Baie Rouge on our last day otherwise we would have spent numerous days there. We were extremely impressed by its beauty and solitude. Be aware that the floor of the ocean drops off quickly so you can go from 3 feet of water to 6 feet of water in a matter of steps. As you venture down... more

Lovely beach but the surf can catch you out. When coming out of the water both my husband and I were caught unawares and found ourselves being constantly thrown onto the beach to be retrieved by the next wave and dragged back in which felt as though we were in a washing machine! The first Beach we went to on St. Maarten. We missed the turn so it took a while to find it. The parking lot have "car watchers" that will ask for a tip. Not a bad idea given the relatively isolated parking lot and the fact we saw broken glass windows at a nearby beach. There is a restroom up... more
