Was on the island for a 10-day trip and had been looking to do this excursion. Went to the shop and looked at the schedule to ensure there was already registrations (a day with a cruise ship in town). Got there and after being briefed on the history of this partcular race (1987) we were split in team (that I... More

We sailed to the Caribbean last year on the Disney Fantasy and called on St. Maarten, one of our favorite ports of call. When our original excursion, a snorkel tour, was canceled due to inclement weather, we needed to choose another one. I wasn't sure about the 12-metre regatta, but something was telling me to give it a try. Personally,... More

We had a great time on the 12 Metre Challenge. It's a lot more than a ride. You get to take an active role with the crew. A definite must do.

Participated while on a cruise ship. Definately, the most exciting activity offered all week. Great activity for a family with teens! Everyone had a job to do. It was enjoyed by everyone.

This is a great excursion! where else can you get together with a bunch of strangers and learn how to race a 12 meter boat!! You work hard on this but the crew makes it fun and you're racing another team. it really makes you appreciate what these people do when they run a regatta. We had a great time....it... More

My family did this as a cruise excursion and everyone loved it. We raced on the real Stars and Stripes that Dennis Conner raced in the America's Cup. Everyone had a job to do in the race and the crew were very helpful. My 69 year old mother down to my 13 year old son all played a role and... More

This is really great fun. You actually learn to sail and have fun at the same time. The crew is helpful and very friendly. There were people on board that had done this on previous trips and came back to do it again because it was so great. We would go again also. The whole family loved it. A definite... More

Took the family out for this adventure of the Disney ship. Turned out to be a winner of a day. You will not get to rest and motor around on a cat and call it sailing, this is an actual five leg race and everyone works, from grinding to the winch, between the 1987 America's Cup winner ( Dennis Connors... If you've ever wanted experience real sail racing this is the place for you. Stars & Stripes is the fastest 12 meter but all are great fun. Don't let age hold you back they have something for everyone. Make sure you participate it's a much greater experience.
