fun in the sun

There is a coral reef starting, with small fish and small coral. Very nice to see the colored coral. This is going to be very nice in a few years.

Get there on a low tide as the sand is taken up during high tide. It was quiet the day i went so there were less than 20 people on the beach. The water is very clear, there are two hotels each side so you can get drinks and food if needed. Toilets are clean and accessible.

While snorkeling here we saw a few very large stingrays (about 3 feet long), as well as eels, schools of fish, wreckage, lion fish, and many others. This was one of the most abundant areas in terms of seeing what the ocean has to offer.

Quite and relaxing setting for this no frills condo. Very clean and staff helpful. Bedding and bedroom could be updated. Couches were in very good condition. Great two bedroom, two bathroom rooms.

Second time here, love that's its not far from the cruise terminal, two chairs with umbrella including bucket of 5 beers or after renegotiated 6 beers for $25, watch he does not nip your beers open, they will come and open one at a time for you, beach clean and safe for children, plenty of places to eat and shops... Lots of other fantastic beaches on the island. Decent spot for the sunset but would not plan a whole day here

We would walk from Sonesta Great Bay and what a workout that was with the hillwork! Worth it though because it is a beautiful sandy beach and quite shallow with no severe drops.
