How can you beat free samples of this delicious stuff?!? We bought both the rum and liqueur. Warning, if you want the guavaberry rum you have to buy it from the Guavaberry Emporium, literally. The women at the store at our resort said that it was the only place to buy the rum, and there is definitely a difference. Oh... more

We just returned from St. Maarten (November 3 - 10) and loved the Guavaberry rum. We ended up bringing a couple bottles home. I'd recommend stopping in Phillipsburg to the Guavaberry Emporium to have a tasting and enjoy the shop. Our favorites were the mango (by far) and liked the almond also. Do not, I repeat, do not leave St Martin without buying a bottle of Guavaberry Liquor! The Guava and mango flavors are best. If you stop at a road-side fruit stand, pick up some mangos and bananas, and blend into the yummiest fruit concoction that will ever pass between your two lips. YUM! more

The Guavaberry Emporium is a great place to visit. In the middle of old Philipsburg you get an idea of what the town was like before the island was developed. They have scores of different rums. The people are great, friendly, knowledgeable about their products and they make the greatest Guavaberry Coladas I ever had. more
