Excellent area to witness big 747 land just metres away from you near Maho Beach. The beach isnt close to Phillipsburg but its just taking a taxi or a local bus too get here. The beach is a bit small but never to crowded. Bring swimgear, have a swim and try to have lunch between 12 and 2 o clock... More

This stop is NOT to be missed while in St Martin. We just sat there & watched the crazies try to hold on to the fence while the planes took off, lol. Watching planes land was amazing! Great eats at the sunset grille too.

Simply put. This place was awesome. Where else can you go and have commercial jets fly just feet over your head or take off so close to you that you can be pushed back by the jet exhaust. The beach is small, the water is damn near unswimmable with the rip current but this place still gets 5 stars because... More

A unique experience, but not the kind of beach for everyone. The 747 from KLM Airlines going 30 feet over your head is something you would never be able to do in the states, but you can do it on Maho beach. I was not adventurous (stupid) enough to get right behind the planes when they were taking off, but... More

Planes are so low you'll have your stuff blown into the ocean....maybe even you!..check out the YouTube videos on this place. Short cab ride if you're coming from the cruise ships.

What can anyone say about Maho Beach other than planes, planes, oh yeah, and more planes. Maho Beach is located and the end of the Princess Julianna International Airport's Runway 10. It is a plane spotters paradise. There are hundreds of videos on youtube featuring this beach and plane landings. At one end of the beach sits the Sunset Bar... More

No need for shoes on this beach. The sand and water are clean. The beach is well kept. We were there when it was less busy. During busy season, arrive early if you want a chair or umbrella.

A very small beach, very crowded and once you've seen a plane land once, a bit of a waste of time. I found no excitement in watching the planes take off - loud to the point of being deafening even from a distance, and lots of sand being blown in your face - but it was neat to see them... More

Went to Maho beach to watch the planes land along with several hundred cruise ship passengers. Can say I did that. The beach is nothing special but I have to say it is fun to watch the plans land and take off. At a the Sunset Bar and had a front roll seat. Food is okay. Beware, this is a... More
