Got to be a bucket list attraction, amazing. There is even someone on the beach with binoculars and a megaphone letting you know what is coming in to land. There is a bar serving food, all in all a real buzzy experience. The best bit though is to try and see the KLM jumbo 747 land and then take off... More

Being that my other job is aviation... This place was like heaven for me! To have a 747 practically land on your head while you sip on a piña colada in the ocean... Doesn't get better than that! The funnel is funny during takeoff of certain engines, as they have the power to literally blow people into the water! It's... More

We went there with our teenage boys because they wanted to go. I was just going along for the ride. But, after the first plane flew over, I was hooked! What an experience! Beautiful setting. Easy taxi ride from the port. Would highly recommend. We plan on going back February 2015. Can't wait! !

Loved playing on the beach and watching planes land. Surf is rough so the kids didn't want to snorkel there. It's amazing to watch the big planes land at Princess Juliana airport. And we did see a plane take off from here. We ate at Driftbar restaurant which had great pizzas. The planes kick up a lot of sand so... More

Are you kidding me - stand on a guard rail - hold on to a fence - have jet engine wash blast you - with the threat of being blown back and run over by passing cars - and get back up and ready for the next wide body jet take-off - only humans would do this - my hands... More

This beach is right at the Sonesta Resort and is a great place to spend the day. The planes come in right over your head - great fun. Very nice sandy beach.

This is a very unique place. I loved watching all the planes landing, especially the large ones. In one and a half hour we sat and ate at the restaurant on the beach we watched at least 7 planes landing of all sizes, but the Air France one was the largest. It's an amazing feeling standing under it when is... More

Maho Beach is a famous locale for watching the jets land and take-off at the airport, as well as "jet surfing." We visited to waste a little time prior to our return flight. The beach and bars were crammed full of humanity and parking was impossible. We didn't stay. We recommend watching the crazy jet surfing videos on youtube and... More

Saw the video of various airplanes kissing the beach on landing at St Maarten and researched how to get there on our own cruise excursion. Docking in St Maarten, go to the taxi stand rather than taking the water taxi to Front Street. Look for signs or ask for Maho Beach (or the airplane beach). You will be put in... More

This is a great beach. You can watch the planes take off and land from so close. It is an amazing experience. The Sunset Bar is neat because the post arrivals on the surf board and have a giant pirate statue. This is a great place for photographers too. I had seen this on documentaries and it was just incredible... More
