We always visit Baie Longue when we come to St. Maarten. It is a gorgeous, long beach, with extremely soft sand. It's almost too soft to walk in. There are two entrances to get here. The first entrance, when coming from the Dutch side, passed the Blue Mall, is for the resort, not public. The second entrance is the gated... More

During our recent vacation in St. Martin, we rented a car for a tour of the islands. We had a chance to explore both French and Dutch parts, each of them offering a distinct charm and flavour. Our tour included a few beaches and the Long Beach made the strongest impression on us. If you want a secluded spot, we... More

Long Bay is aptly named as it must be more than a mile long. Maybe more. The sandy area is wide and offers a great opportunity for a long and peaceful stroll along one of the really beautiful beaches on St. Martin. The sand is very soft and walking did require effort as each foot fall caused one to sink... More

Awesome, beautiful beach! It looks like you're in the middle of a postcard. The downside is that there isn't any shade available so you need to bring your own chairs and umbrella. We wandered over and found an unused umbrella at La Sammana. We expected to get kicked out but no one bothered us. I would go back but be... More

this was a beautiful secluded beach. were were there for about 5 hrs and there was never more than 10 people there at one given time. you can walk down the powder beaches for what seems like forever from plum beach. and the homes which line the beach are amazing. they are multimillion dollars estates, owned by the rich and... We found our way to Plum and Long Beaches. Beyond checkpoint Charlie and miles down the winding private road are two small parking lots. A small secluded pathway lined with trees and bushes leads to the beach. Although nude bathing is strictly prohibited we observed several French speaking older grandmother's way beyond appropriateness and very unattractive at best. The snorkeling... More

This was one of my favorite beaches. You could have the most panoramic view of mountains that stick right out of the sea. The water is calm on part and a surfers dream at another. You can walk in the water across to the mountain about 200 yards away. There are people who come and set up a stand to... More

What a beautiful and secluded beach. Rolling waves and endless sunshine. Walk along the beach and also take in the breathtaking villas that line the public beach

Wish it was a little more accessible with more ample parking but worth it when you get there. Fabulous beach. more should be so lucky to see it.

This is a long, secluded beach that feels completely different from most of the other very busy St. Martin beaches. Access is through a gate on the west side of the main road about half-way between Baie Longue and Baie Rouge. The beige-colored stone wall around the gate is marked "Les Terres Basses". The guard will advise you to stay... More
