Long beach is... well pretty long. The combination of one of the longest stretches of continuous beach in St Martin and few visitors makes it easy to stake your own claim to a portion of the beach. I went there on an extremely nice day and there was hardly anyone there. We were probably at least 50 yards from another... More

My favorite beach on St. Martin. Relatively few people around and good for swimming as well.

This beach was my 2nd favorite to Baie Rouge (it was a toss up). I really like Long Bay b/c of how large the beach was and how it didn't seem to be as eroded as many of the others. Most of the beaches on St. Maarten are not flat from the back of the sand and into the water... More

I visited this gorgeous beach for the first time in 2000. Wow - deserted, and a back drop of palm trees and expansive lawns. In 2011 I went again. Instead of the palm trees and lawns, there were now 8ft high concrete walls - whether to protect against storm surge or crime, I don't know. The views out to sea... More

Long Bay Beach is quite atypical for a St. Maarten/St. Martin beach. Most of the island's beachs are beautiful, sometimes a little crowed, and offer amenities such as snack bars, and chaisse lounges you can tip an attendent to set up for you. Long Bay is beautiful, about a mile and a half long with one resort at one end... More

Long Beach is one of my favorite beaches on St. Martin. It is a very long beach (hence the name). La Samanna Resort is on Long Beach. It is generally very unpopulated and while it can be a bit wavy at times, it is still a beach that you can swim at, just use common sense. IT is really cool... More

This beach was a little difficult to get to as we thought we were venturing on private ground as the signs told us, but we continued through and found the beach a ways down the road. I would say this was a very beautiful, secluded beach. It is a very large beach for St. Maarten with not a lot of... More
