We Love this beach we rate it number one. It is a little hard to get to because on the rough roads but we think it is worth it and it cuts down on the number of people. La Savane Restaurant is right on the beach and has some of the best food.

My family and I spent two separate days on Friar's Bay. It was an excellent spot for families because of the clear, calm water and proximity to restaurant and facilities. The beach can be rocky in spots so it might be a good idea to have the kids in swim shoes of some sort, however there are spots with just... More

We went to this beach twice during our weeklong stay. I recommend that you stick to the west side of the bay (to the left as you're looking out to the ocean) since it has less rocks and finer sand. The waves are very calm and our 16-month old had tons of fun playing in the "surf" where the waves... More

We wanted to find a carribean side beach with calmer water. Well Friar's Beach was perfect. Exactly what we wanted BUT the smell just makes it awful. Will not return.

This was my favorite beach of all the beaches we went to. The water was clear and smoothe and we ate at one of the restaurants ( the first one you come to when you enter the beach). The food was excellent and plentiful and the price was mid range. Maybe a little expensive if feeding lots of kids. I... More

Finding the north entrance to Friars Bay is the most challenging part of the beach day experience. "Drive up the road and look for the pile of rocks on the left just before the basketball courts." These were the directions we were give (they ended up being spot on!). The beach is pristine white sand with brilliant turquoise water a... More

This beach is secluded behind narrow roads and huge homes, its nice with its orange-pinkish sand. the photo in this insert is not Friars Bay. But you will still love this side of the Island. One of my best is Cupecoy, OMG.

Spent the whole day relaxing here. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 star Beach is because of the disgusting lake behind it giving the beach a horrendous smell at certain times. Beautiful calm blue waters and white sand beach, can make you forget about the smell though. Not terrible for snorkeling but not great either as there... More

The drive there is half the fun. Bouncy road and cattle strolling around on the road. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. Mostly families the day we went. Water is calm and great for swimming. Ate at Friars beach bar and the food was good. Cash only! Saw lots of iguanas walking around by the bar.

We visited Friar's Beach on a Sunday afternoon. It was not crowded and was so relaxing. The water is beautiful. It was just a lovely afternoon. We are returning the area in early 2016 and can't wait to visit again.
