I travelled to Baie Rouge when I was in St Martin as I have heard this is a lovely spot. While it is a beautiful and secluded location there are grave dangers in the water. First, there is an undertow here so be cautioned Second, the water has iron in it from the sand, which can be irritating to the... More

This beach has been a favorite for years, but, since I was last there two years ago the waves have taken a toll. One day it was too rough to go on the beach. On a calm day still a nice beach. But, there are exposed rocks and a steep incline to the water. Too bad, I hope nature restores... More

My family visited Baie Rouge for the day and were very happy with the beach and food. It was a laid back atmosphere and the "beach shacks" had great food and great service. We rented beach chairs and umbrellas, but you don't have to (although you will be made to feel as though you do).

This beach was recommend to us during our 11 day stay on St Maarten. It had its beauty but it had large slabs of rock that you had to walk over before you entered the water. It looked pretty but it made entering difficult. Also the waters were very very rough VERY ROUGH. Only a few people went into the... More

Calmest, nicest, quietest beach I've ever been to. Absolutely loved it. A nice change from the business of Orient Bay.

We visited many beaches on our trip to Saint Martin but this was our favorite. A hidden little gem with two beach restaurants, excellent food at Chez Ramon and fresh fruity drinks. We even climbed the rock stairs on the far right side of the beach and took some photos of Devil's Hole, only wish we would have had snorkeling... More

One of the most beautiful beaches. Has little caves and coves to snorkel in but only on calm days. Little beach shack, good food and drinks. Much quieter than Mullet Bay but not as nice of chairs, etc. But definitely a must see beach.

Sharming little beach offering a great place to relax and just enjoy the ambience without all the crowds. The locals were great. Limited access to the water-rocky shoreline. Food, drink and beach chairs are available

As stated previously, this beach has huge, smooth slabs of rock as you enter the water. Our 10 & 12 year old boys (and a few other kids) loved using them as a slide as the waves went out. I tried it and did not enjoy it - probably due to the 35 year age difference & the skin contact... More

Here, a lovely crescent shaped beach has chairs and umbrellas for rent ($20, we talked them down to $10), Port a potties, common here, and two beach bar/grills. Not crowded at all, but everyone enters the water on one edge of the beach due to the amount of rocks/coral deposits along the shoreline. Even walking along the beach, it is... More
