My wife and I were looking for good places to snorkel and our hotel manager suggested this beach and was he right. If you go to the right down on the beach, you are welcomed by the rocks and fish almost immediately. Then as you go toward the arch there are many rock formations and coral and fish to explore.... Bai Rouge is a beautiful and secluded beach. The entry can be easily missed; when heading there from the Dutch side, it comes right after a formal sign that reads Bai Rouge private residence. Right after that sign you will find another entry, turn into this and park. As read in other reviews, we were greeted by Freedom, who rented... More

Found Baie Rouge (Red Bay) on our trek to find the west side beaches on the French side of the island. The Red Bay Beach entrance is located at the 90° turn in the road near Nettle Bay. There are walls emblazoned with Baie Rouge at the corner with several signs in French warning that you stay out! We went... More

We stayed in Margot and drove to Baie Rouge in about 15 minutes. The entrance is very easy to miss (located on a curve). There is free parking at the top of the beach and some beach bar and restaurant. We came at 8 am to snorkel and were alone. The waves around the cliff can get rough so bring... More

One of the best beaches on the island of Saint Martin! Secluded calm oasis. If you're looking for a beach where you can relax and enjoy the sea, then Baie Rouge is for you! It is accessible via a private road that is guarded.

And the best snorkel spot in the island. Gus beach bar has great food and happy hour on frozen drinks starts at 3. Just listen for the horn! Love to float in the water and look at Anguilla!

It’s day four and we’re headed past Maho, Mullet, and Cupecoy for Baie Rouge. Just follow the road and you’ll see the one sign telling you where to turn. In the parking area, you’ll find “Chez Raymond” spray-painted on cement and then you’ll see the steps to the beach and enjoy a better welcome. The fish sandwich and frozen cocktails... More

We went to St. Martin on our honeymoon. We were looking for things to do that were off the beaten path, and decided to try this beach. It was great! Go past Gus Beach Bar and around the rocks to the right. We had to jump in and swim, but if you look around the rocks, you will see the... More

This was by far my favorite snorkeling spot on the island. After you find the place which is hard to do! To find it just go past the blue mall and it will be several miles in on the french side on your left. It has a hand painted sign that says beach entrance. Walk down the stairs and immediately... My wife and I stopped by Baie Rouge after spending most of the day at Mullet. Parking lot was a little rough, but, plenty of parking is available. We walked down to the beach and it was very calm and a wonderful blue water color. We walked away from the bars and found a spot to relax and swim further... More
