This beach is just gorgeous. It is such a pity there are no proper places to eat. We went to the shack next to Gus Beach Bar. It was overpriced and the food was mediocre for what you get on a plastic plate. De drinks where served in the smallest cups around. Service was slow and they had no clue... More

My wife and I were married on this beach at sunset. The background was almost as beautiful as the bride. The beach was a wide, clean, quiet crescent framed with rocks to the north and a large hill to the south. The beachgoers present stayed out of the way out of respect but offered their congratulations at the end of... More

We tried to visit Bay Rouge on St. Maarten. Terribly hard to find. Don't go. Damaged by hurricane, 7 inch rain and no apparent repairs going on at this time. The water is polluted according to security. Visited Nov. 11, 2014

We've been to St. Maarten 4 times and visited all the beaches - this is our favorite. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I like the snorkeling here - it's different - not many tropical fish but cool rock formations. You will need a car to get there.

enjoyed the sun and sand, but the water was very rough, possibly due to the hurricane 7 days prior. steep ledge in/out of water, so those who are unsteady/elderly, do not go until the rough seas pass.

This was a good find late in my trip, but the beach was beautiful. The water is very difficult if you are not a good swimmer, with a strong undertow and heavy waves, but if can handle it, the water is gorgeous and refreshing. The hurricane made the local bar/restaurant out of order, but it was still a gorgeous beach... More

This is an incredible beach. It has one public access with a small quaint beach bar, the rest of the beach is lined with multi-million dollar villas making it a very safe place to spend the day, I even saw security walking the beach. The beach is about a mile long with many private areas. Great snorkeling in front to... More

Great beach for kids! Two places to chose to eat and get ice cold drinks. Have cash because it gets expensive fast. The beach is wonderful for snorkeling even for kids! Never too crowded and water is calm.

Tucked away from the main road is a little beach called Baie Rouge, and it is breathtaking. The sand is soft and deep, the water is beautiful, and it is so quiet that you hear nothing but the sound of the surf. The view is also gorgeous, and you can see Anguilla to the north from your lounge chair. There... More

There are a couple restaurants if you want to eat or drink anything. The best area is on the right near to the rocks. It is a like a pool, no waves. If you can swim just swim around the rocks and you will see a private small beach, and yes, you can go there. Nice area to do snorkeling.... More
