Great place to get souvenirs to bring home plus an opportunity to get some gorgeous handmade jewelry and French linens. A must do when in St Martin.

Take a stroll through the carts for souvenirs and spices. Do not forget to travel down the road to the fish market and spice stands. Great variety

Marigot is a great place to shop for all kinds of stuff. There are all kinds of wares available for purchase. If you have a rental car, finding parking close is tough as all the parking right next to the market is reserved for buses and taxis. There is a parking lot a few blocks away near the Marina area,... I'm told that the market is open daily but the local fishermen bring their catches in Wednesday and Saturday morning. Get their by 7:00am to be one of the first in line for Red Snapper, Mahi, Conch and Caribbean Lobster. The seafood is sold just down the way from vendors hawking trinkets, tshirts, spices, fresh fruits and vegetables and souvenirs.... More

Came in on a cruiseship to St. Phillisburg, which is the Dutch side of St. Maarten. Wanted to do Marigot first, which is on the French side. When you exit the Port, take a left and follow the roadway, until you come to a Green fence with a cut-out of a girl in a Red Bikini holding a sign saying... More

My wife and I spent some time at the market while touring St. Maarten. Many of the vendors have the typical tourist t-shirts and cheap souvenirs. If you look beyond that, there are several local artisans that have nice things. We bought a small sculpture crafted from the Tagua nut and a nice necklace. You don't need a lot of... More

We vacation on Saint Martin every other year and always spend one day exploring Marigot. This year was the most disappointing one yet. The flea market vendors are seedy, the souvenirs expensive but cheaply made and the selection minimal. The only saving grace was Sarafinas for breakfast and La Vie en Rose for dinner.

I visited the French side of St. Maarten for the first time on February 26, 2015. Though I did enjoy the photo opportunities with the beautiful blue waters with the sailboats in the view, I was not impressed with the amount of trash and animal feces that I saw. I did visit the flea- market and found a jewelry stand... More

Marigot is one of the first places we go after getting settled in for our stay in Sint Maarten and we love to walk around through the market! This year we met Felicia...she makes dolls and head bands; we chatted with David...bought some tiles from him last year that we used in a new tiled shower; visited the Secret Spot... More

We hit the market on Saturday monring at 8am. We met up with another traveler and shared a fresh fish. Bought some fish spice at another stand, a lime and back to the hotel. That fish was AMAZING! You can find some of everything if you go early enough
