Great experience! Booking was a breeze online ahead of time. Customs was easy and painless. The 40 minute ride was a little choppy (it was a windy day) but more relaxing than thrilling (as other reviewers describe it). We had our one year old with us, she fell asleep on the way back - don't let some reviews scare you!... More

On reading back through others reviews where reviewers are moaning about seasickness, I see they all travelled in January. Who in their right minds travels on this journey in January? We travelled in March and it was just fine. Not bumpy, not scary, no waves slapping onto the deck. Be warned, try and get off the boat back at Philipsburg... More

Thrill seekers will love this ferry boat from St.Martin to St. Barth's. This 45 minute ride includes free plastic bags for the possible vomitiing and a bottle of water. My bottle fell onto the floor and rolled around while I used both hands to hold on to the seat and railing. Someone had told me to sit on top and... More

This was by far the worst ferry ride I have ever been on. I felt like we were going to tip over the entire 40 minutes. I took dramamine and still felt like i was going to get sick. There was a section on the ferry that we were told not to sit in because we could get wet. Unfortunately... More

The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes... if you get at all seasick then get ready for an unpleasant ride. The ferry itself was pretty nice. It had an air conditioned inner cabin that seats a ton of people. I would not recommend sitting in the open part in the back of the ship... unless you want to get soaked.... More

We had a good experience sailing with Great Bay Express to St. Barths. We had the hotel we stayed at (L'Hoste) call the day before, so we had a reservation set. When we arrived at the Marina, it was a quick process to pay the balance and get the boarding passes. Everything was handled well by the staff. Perhaps it... More

St. Barts' is a "can't miss" attraction, but the ride over is VERY ROUGH. We had motion sickness patches, so were fine, but those who were less fortunate made ample use of the "breakfast reliever pails?. The ride is only 50 minl it is costly but worth the $$ to see the adult Disneyland of the rich and famous.

We had heard mixed reviews on the ferry ride so, naturally, were a bit hesitant. The ferry ride was quick and painless. It is a bit choppy - depending on what time you go - but its 45 minutes and you can then enjoy the beauty that is St. Barths. The staff offers you a pop or water once you... More

My wife and children 2 and 4 years old made the trip across on the ferry. If you frequent boats you will be fine. Ride can get a little rough as your mid way through your voyage but most of the reviews I've read seem little exaggerated. If you want a calmer ride, take the 7am ferry there and the... More
