Owner description: Tyt Lynz Guide Service offers onshore fishing on St. Maarten as an alternative for the casual fisherman as well as world-class fishing for the experienced hard-core angler. Tarpon and Jack Crevalle abound in the prestine waters but the most sought after are the snook that will challenge your personal record. Little to no fishing pressure makes for wonderful memories and big fish.

I spent the first two weeks of August 2014 in St. Maarten on the Dutch side. This is a vacation we as a expanded family have been doing every other year for ten years. I started fishing there three trips back with so so luck, but still enjoying myself and finding places to fish by talking to the locals. On... More

We all know how it works: You send an email, pay a deposit, arrive at a vacation destination, meet the guide, go fishing, hope to catch some fish, pay the balance, the end. WELL, he certainly got his deposit. Emails pretty much stopped after that - surprise. We were supposed to go out early the morning after I arrived. I... More

His web site expired in April 2014. Based on some of the other reviews, I am not surprised. It is too bad, because I was considering using this fellow when we travel to St. Maarten in August.

I booked Richard for a morning on my honeymoon, hoping just to get out on the water but not anticipating that I was in for one of the finest angling experiences of my life. I'm an avid fly fisherman from Montana, but I don't have a lot of saltwater experience. So I would have been happy simply to be on... More

Family booked Richard after hearing from a friend he was the best. Booked for a Monday morning, the day was great despite fishing at the dump and catching nothing. According to the guys who went, Richard was very disappointed that they didn't catch anything. Promised them that because fishing "was so good" he would pick them up Thurs night and... More

First and foremost .... Patti and I had a fabulous time fishing with you and your trusty pal Caryl. Hooking into that first Snook this morning was a thrill I will never forget. Your knowledge of the inland waterways and the onshore fishing locations is second to none. I have fished with many guides in the past and a key... More

I booked Richard about two months in advance and had no problems. We had an afternoon session and confirmed it the day before. He picked us up at our resort and gave us a couple of fishing options. The salt ponds provided us with our first taste of tarpon. They are a tough fish to land and kept throwing our... More

We found the guide to be very nice and worked hard at getting us hooked up with some tarpon. We never were able to land one though even though we hooked enough to keep up enthused. What was helpful was to teach us the techniques so we could go on our own and have some confidence in hooking into fish.... More

My wife, niece, and I fished with Richard Sunday morning 3/9/14 and had an enjoyable time overall at both the 2 different beach/surf fishing spots and the salt pond tarpon location where he guided us. While none of us landed any fish this morning, we did have a few bites and chances including having 2 decent tarpon on and jumping... More

What more can you ask from a fishing guide? He provides all of the gear, catches the live bait, tells you where go and what is the best technique to catching a fish...He went above and beyond what he had to do to help me. I had a large snook on my line that wrapped around a buoy off the... More
