Only spent a short time here since it was part of a triple tour but it was a great experience. The sulphur is smelly but it is worth going. The mud leaves your skin super soft but the best part is the experience and the pictures you can take. There is alaways someone there to take your picture I would... More

A short ride from the Jalousie Plantations....as a kid you told to stay out of the mud puddles...here you are encouraged to jump in and have full. A great soak in the black sluphur waters...hot but not too hot. A nice massage coats you with volcanic mud.....dry in the sun....rinse off in the mineral springs again, then off to a wonderful... The last major volcanic eruption in St Lucia occurred about 40,000 years ago and the last minor one was in 1780. To this day this volcanic pit continues to vent sulfur into the air and heat pools of water. The sulfur is what gave the name (french originated) to the town Soufrière. The current crater site resulted from the volcanic... More

Interesting history. Enjoyed the refreshing hot springs and mud baths. Those are a must. My skin never felt better. More

The sulphur springs are an unusual manifestation of volcanic disturbance below. Informative guides describe the history and geology of this natural phenomenon, and the mud baths are fun too More

I didn't go into the Sulpher Spings on this visit, as I'd already seen them, but opted for the mud bath. For 12 EC, it's a chance to get down and dirty in St. Lucia. First you soak in a big, hot tub fed by a hot spring. The water is sulpherous and looks muddy. Then you fill a bucket... More

The drive-in volcano is kind of cool. There's not a lot to see but it's really neat to see the boiling water springs everywhere as this volcano is still active. The mud baths were a hoot but make sure that you bring some soap .. it gets everywhere and I mean everywhere! Showers are available right beside the mud baths. More

So I am down on this trip. Maybe because the tour from the cruise ship was not accurately described. Three and one half hours on a bus on a road with more curves than the road to Hana and twenty three hills and valleys to traverse. If we understood this we would never have taken the trip. We left the... More
