The horses looked like they were looked after and weren't at all skitterish. We rode into the village and Bano was always making sure we were ok. When we got to the beach we got off and Bano's friends started untacking the horses while we went and got a drink that they payed for. We then rode into the sea... More

We called Bano the night before we wanted to ride and booked him, no problem. We met him outside the Pigeon Point national park meaning we didn't have to pay to get into the park. The ponies look slimmer then in UK but are very well cared for. The highlight was going into the sea on horse back and swimming... More

We took a last minute ride with Bano in March 2014. The ride itself was good: we went through the local town in Gros Islet, saw the school, heard the locals singing in Church, rode through the streets. It was nice! We spent a good amount of time in the water with the horses. It was also good to stop... More

My husband and I stayed in st Lucia a few years ago and would go back just to see Bano again. Let me start with saying that I am a responsible horse owner and have nothing negative to say about the care about his horses. You can't compare horse care in the carribean to horse care in the states, it's... More

Russ and I spent a wonderful morning with Bano in October (I know, better late than never!) after booking a private ride and much of the experience was down to this being truly a ride in the local style. We met Bano at Pigeon Island, a 10 minute taxi ride from our hotel, where he was waiting with our horses.... More

We did a riding trip with Island riders and you should be prepared that this is a cool, but not a "regular" riding trip. We got on the horses and were only us two and him and rode around for maybe 45 minutes to an hour on Pigeon point and Reduit beach and in the surrounding village. Then we stopped... More

My wife and I are horse enthusiasts, so we didn't want a basic nose-to-tail trail ride. If you want to open it up and ride, Bono will allow you to do so. Just make sure you can stay on. It was a little weird walking up to him on the beach, but it's better than booking through the resort. One... More

Bano was a great guide, he was so knowledgable of his horses and his 5 dogs us escorted during the tour. I enjoyed riding Jack Sparrow, who had such a calm demeanour and made it easy for me to ride for the first time. Definitely would recommend this tour.

We loved this tour. Got to drive on the left side of the road (for a change) and went entirely down half the island's coast. There were beautiful sites, fresh fruit, a decent lunch and the Pitons. Our tour guide Jerry was absolutely the best. If you like driving you'll like this tour. Also have fun at the mud bath... More
