It's very close to the Landings resort. Good base for the SNUBA excursion. We were able to see a small spotted eel, starfish, spiny sea urchin, octopus, sea horse and different coral and colorful fish. It was also an interesting landmark to hike and photograph. The history behind the fort is interesting but what for me was more inspiring was that it was one womans vision to bring it back from an overgrown piece of land to what it is now. An inspiration to all.

The trip here was included on one of the excursions from Saga. It didn't interest me all that much but you have to wonder how all of the heavy guns were hauled up those hills.

We had to ring beforehand to check their would be a guide to show you around. visited twice now, really recommend it for a fun history lesson

If you are interested in the history of the islands this is a good place to visit. Bit run-down, could do with some TLC and money spent on it, but the island has other priorities than to spend money on places like this, unfortunately.
