Very pretty stretch of coastline

Nice beach, but the quality of the water was disappointing, it was certainly not crystal clear & bordered by a cemetery at the Castries end.

We enjoyed lunch and dinner here. The choice was amazing and the flavours more so. The only downside being the need to 'veg' out for hours on a sun-bed due to over indulgence!

Just had 10 days at Rendezvous resort which is right on Malabar beach and spend many happy hours walking in the surf. Locals claim it to be 2 miles long which seems a bit optimistic but it's a decent walk end to end. The sand is clean and ideal for bare feet and when it gets too hot the water... More

Safe bathing and a nice long beach. Short walk from the cruise terminal. Can get busy with locals at weekends and holidays though.

Choc Bay, just north of Castries with Malabar and Vigie Beaches, along the grave yard stretching north past The Wharf Restaurant; THIEVES are working this area, sometimes a single male who grabs whatever he can such as bags & flip flops; or two fellows, one distracts you by being very friendly while the other grabs your stuff and runs; sometimes... Best beach on the Island, very clean white sand, ultra blue water, great for snorkelling, quiet and peaceful, safe for swimming.

A lovely beach, popular with locals, especially at weekends but never busy. There is a cemetery and small airfield running alongside part of the beach but this just adds to the charm in my opinion. Some shade can be found under old trees beside the cemetery. The water looked clean and entry to the sea was easy without stones or... More

so there are locals walking about; there may be lots of children on the beach weekends when they are out of school, but security keeps them at bay and won't let them bother the resort customers. can walk for quite a ways south, not so much north.

Lovely beach for swimming and walking but beware. While we were walking...in broad daylight, between noon and 1:00....our car was broken into and many valuables stolen.

So what do you do when it rains in St Lucia, go for a walk on the beach. Lovely long sandy beach. No beach bars or restaurant but used by the locals where we often saw people running or swimming or just enjoying a family day out.
