We stopped at Anse du Gouverneur beach while on a cruise and touring the island on a scooter. It was a little hard to find, but water/beach was beautiful. No problems parking near beach at lot, beach is 1 minute walk from parking lot. Snorkeling was good at left of beach near the rocks. FYI- there is no shade, be... More

I was hiking down to this beach when a local kindly offered me a lift. Quite the hill down and back. The car park is close, but the beach is exposed so bring shade/water if you plan to stay a while.

Along with the Salines beach it's amazing how beautiful it can be. Not trashed by humans, it's so calm and relaxing to spend the day laying on the sand.

I can only agree with the high scores by others. We toured the island just for one day (by rental car), on a day trip from St. Martin (by power ferry Voyager from Marigot Harbour). We saw and briefly walked on several beaches on Saint Barthelemy, most of them very nice, but this Anse du Gouverneur one was my favourite... More

This and Grand Saline Beach are the best choices for beautiful, easily accessed, commercial-free beaches. They are wonderful, sandyl beaches but lack amenities. They tend to be private, and topless or nude sun bathing can be expected.

I just spent two weeks in St. Barth's and Gouverneur was our go to beach. Easy to get to, beautiful, good swimming and some shaded areas, if it's not too crowded. All the beaches in St. Barth's are nice and it's funny to hear the locals assess the wind conditions when deciding what beach to go to, as if it... More

My first visit to Gouverneur was thirty years ago and it still amazes me at its beauty. Just steps from where you park your car it is for everyone. Bring your lunch and a bottle of wine and enjoy the swimming and the people watching!

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean! Clear, calm turquoise water in a secluded alcove. There isn't any shade so be prepared for that! A slice of heaven...

I can by far say this was the best beach in St Barts. We toured the island with a ATV, and went from beach to beach. This was calming and refreshing, people we friendly. We laid our towels down and listened to the peace. Beach was clean and the view was breathtaking, I was so relaxed that I took a... More

This was our 3rd trip back to St Barths and back to our most favorite beach. This beach is so laid back and not crowded, that you just want to plant yourself there in the morning and not leave until the sun decides to go down! The further to the right you go, the better chance of running into some... More
