My first visit to Gouverneur was thirty years ago and it still amazes me at its beauty. Just steps from where you park your car it is for everyone. Bring your lunch and a bottle of wine and enjoy the swimming and the people watching!

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean! Clear, calm turquoise water in a secluded alcove. There isn't any shade so be prepared for that! A slice of heaven...

I can by far say this was the best beach in St Barts. We toured the island with a ATV, and went from beach to beach. This was calming and refreshing, people we friendly. We laid our towels down and listened to the peace. Beach was clean and the view was breathtaking, I was so relaxed that I took a... More

This was our 3rd trip back to St Barths and back to our most favorite beach. This beach is so laid back and not crowded, that you just want to plant yourself there in the morning and not leave until the sun decides to go down! The further to the right you go, the better chance of running into some... More

Plus petite que la plage des Saline, elle n'en reste pas moins spectaculaire. Un véritable décors de carte postale. Un bijoux. A wonderful place to relax, and enjoy the sun and the sea. This beach is really awesome, and look like post-card's background. Just perfect.

This beach is smaller than Salines (also reviewed) but very similar. Same white soft sand. Rougher water. No facilities and no shade either. As is customary on a French Island, most women swim and sun without tops. As one walks to the right, the proportion of fully nude couples increases, to become a majority towards the end of the beach.... More

Gouverneur Beach is among the nicest beaches I’ve ever seen. There are laws outlining that pretty much no foreign things can take real estate there, to keep it unspoiled. So don’t expect chairs, umbrellas or even a cooler with water bottles, just untouched natural perfection.

This is a wild beach with not too many people. It's not large but with excellent parking right next to the beach. The surf was good for swimming. As with any French beach be ready for topless women, some hot ;)

If you have a car, this beach is a fantastic place to visit and due to its location, is quite secluded.

Beautiful beach! Perfect!!! Crystal clear water. Nice rocks on the side for snorkeling. Went on a Sunday and was very laid back. Great vibe. Limited shade areas so be advised.
