This is a great beach, perfect for discrete naturism. It is accessible with a short walk from the parking lot. Once on the beach, you don't need to wander far to the right before you start to see some fully nude sunbathers. Roughly mid beach. It is very quiet, laid back, and discreet. Very pleasant. As it is a French... More

The road to Gouveneur Beach is not well marked, but after talking to some other people who had similar experiences, we found that the turn was at the Santa Fe Restaurant. It is a steep road down, with beautiful views before arriving. There were two rows to park, before the short walk to the beach. The waves were a bit... More

Gouveneur has been our favorite beach on the island for so many years! With so many to choose from...it is sometimes hard to pick a favorite. We have always tried to stay close to this beach, when renting a villa, so that it is convenient to head down when we were ready. Not sure if it is the smaller size... More

This is a very nice beach. There are good waves to play in. However, the last set breaks close to shore. So, you have to be careful.

Beautiful beach. Easy to get to in a rented car and plenty of parking. Driving on the mountainous roads in St Barths does take getting used to but is doable. There is no shade on the beach but worth the trip.

If there are better beaches in the world than this and Saline, I have yet to see them. But don't go if you need commercial establishments to have fun on the beach because there are none here. Just a beautiful beach in a picturesque setting.

Just returned from our third trip to St Barts. First two times with just my wife and I, and most recently with 3 other couples. While I tried to be tour guide the entire time I kept delaying our trip to Gouverneur. Within the first 10 minutes everyone asked me why I had not been bringing them here every day.... More

Gouverneur is a great beach to go and relax! Park your carin the parking lot, and walk about 100 feet, and you're on the beach! Pack some water (although you can buy water at a restaurant outside of the parking lot) and a light lunch and you'll be good for hours. It does not have any facilities, so plan accordingly.... More

Wife and I just returned from our 6th trip to St Barts. One of the most difficult decisions during our stay is "OK, today, Saline or Gouveneur?" (put that into perspective). We got lucky as it appears the sargassum was taking a break during our stay. It's hard to pick a favorite beach between Gouveneur and Saline (unspoiled, uncrowded, and... More

private, secluded. There were shade trees but that was not the secluded part. Not as rough as Saline. Loved the drive/road down to the beach.
