Nice domain to visit

Guided tour on the domain; seeing a bit more of the brewing process would be nice The tasting afterwards is very good and you can try almost every rum you want.

this museum is set at what appears to be an old house-creole style. it has beautiful park like surroundings. you are free to roam the property. there are signs throughout that lets you know the process to distill rum. some are only in French some are French & English. there is free tastings & "gift shop" that basically only sells... The tour was okay and if you have never been to a distillery it was interesting. The guide did not elaborate on the history or the processes of the rum making. They turned it into a 'basic' tour. The only highlite is the tasting at the end. It could have been that they were a little overwhelmed with the number... More

We were staying in Sainte Marie and this was a obvious place to visit. It was hard not to compare with other places (e.g. the Rum Museun in Sainte Anne, Guadeloupe) and was interesting, bit nothing more. All the notices, displays and information was in French, which was a struggle for us but something we had come to expect in... More

Set in a beautiful old plantation home, the St. James Rhum Museum was very interesting however the all of the displays were in French. It would have been nice if there were some English ones as well. There were no tours while we were there, as they are closed that time of year (December). This would have been nice to... More

The best rum in Martinique! You can even take a train that goes through the sugar cane fields and your guide tells you everything there is to know about producing rum. I would highly recommend all visitors to go to this distillery. It has a beautiful museum in a colonial building that has been restored. There is even a restaurant... More
