Caracas is maybe the best beach to hang around in Vieques since there is not algae as there is in some of the other beaches. As many other beaches in Vieques you start to see people after 1030 or 1100am. Plenty of parking space

Playa Caracas or Red Beach is a beautiful. Very open and really easy to find. Me and my Wife enjoy almost a whole day in the beach. Although our favorite beach is La Chiva/Blue Beach Playa Caracas is great too.

This beach was really cool, not to hard to get to like some of the beaches on vieques, and the waves were really good for bodysurfing.

LOVED it. Love Vieques. You can drive right up to it and have it all to yourself. Simply amazing. Great snorkeling all along the beaches. You can beach hop up and down the beaches and get a unique experience at each one.

This was a beautifully protected beach with shelters, white sand, and warm ocean water! This was my favorite beach to visit because it wasn't over-crowded and we found many of the locals go to that beach as well. There was also ample parking. We stayed for about 5 hours and got a perfect golden brown tan. Enjoy!

Beautiful, wide and protected.....not too many people, easy to get to - lovely. This is a favorite of many people we talked to. Not a snorkel beach but great for swimming and lounging

Pretty beach, but too rough waves for us to go in, much preferred other beaches in Vieques. It was neat how you could park in the little bays and have an area all to yourself.

Playa Caracas was our favorite beach of the trip! It was so relaxing and fun to watch people. The waves are great to play in - or go futher out and float in the crystal blue water.

AKA Red Beach, this beach is pristine! Off white fine sand, shallow calm waters. There's a little bit of snorkeling on the left side of the beach. A little bit of coral but mostly just a short seaweed. We did get to see some pretty cool fish though. Little to no shade and the gazebos are all taken early so... More

Beautiful beach, considerably high concentration of salt in the water, compared to other beaches. There is a beautiful set of rocks at the end of the beach stretch that made for a cool photo opp.
