Bit of a hike on the far west side but worth the trip. Good snorkeling. We hear bugs can be bad but didn't have an issue.

Go during the week and you might have this beach for yourself. As other reviews say, the sunset is just beautiful and the views are amazing BUT the bugs wont let you stay for more than 10 minutes at sunset time. Take in consideration that there are no facilities around and you might as well have no cell phone coverage.... More

Getting to Green Beach is torture -- even in a jeep. It is on the tip of the island and it takes at least 20 minutes of driving down a road full of pot holes to get there. But once you arrive .... the snorkeling was great. We saw parrot fish, blue tang, puffer fish, and lots of large sea... More

Green Beach can be a great place to spend some time in the water. Snorkeling its length can be very rewarding. Walking the beach line to the right to the end of a short peninsula is a great way to exercise those legs and get a tan. It is beautiful here with some great sunset views. However, you will not... Each time we return to Vieques, we seem to come home with a new favorite beach. Peaceful and quiet above water yet very colorful and active under water. Worth the drive and pot holes.

Although this beach was a little out of the way, we loved the seclusion! The sand was like sugar and the water was calm and warm and the most beautiful turquoise!

If I could only snorkel at one place, this would be it. I swam with turtles, rays, and spent hours in the best underwater paradise you could dream of.

I can't say much about Green Beach/Punta Arenas because we arrived just in time for sunset (bottle of wine in hand) and were chased immediately away by the throngs of no-see-ums. I later read that you should always go earlier in the day to avoid this issue. So, yeah, do that.

VERY private beach on the Northwest side of the island. No one else around except a small reef shark, two Conch's and many sea urchins. Quiet and peaceful place to relax and become one with the vast ocean expanses before you.
