This is down a very long road with lots of potholes. The sand is marginal and full of ants. It's very small and the day we were there it smelled terrible of the decomposing jungle/ mangroves nearby. A local warned me to only go 10-2 bc of Mosquitos. There is suppose to be good snorkeling. There are so many perfect... More

It's a long wet bumpy ride to get out to Green Beach, but it will blow your mind once you get there. We had the place to ourselves, except for a couple with a dog who were staying on a sailboat offshore, and puttered their dingy in to stroll the beach. A few noseeums showed up to bite a wee... More

This beach reminds me of Hawaii....A tide pool makes for perfect floating in a raft while watching the palm trees blow in the breeze and working on your tan.....RELAXING! HEAVEN!

I was excited to go to Green Beach since I had heard it was great for snorkeling. We were told by locals that you need a 4-w drive to get there for the road is extremely rough. Since vacationers have to rent vehicles on the island, none of the reviews mentioned the fact that when renting from most of the... More

Was concerned about the reviews warning about drive and bugs. I found the whole area to be beautiful, and was well worth thye bumpy drive, which is standard fare for Vieques. We had no problems with bugs, but left by 1pm. Snorkeling was quite good out from last several parking spots to left at the "Y" or fork in the... More

I read about how bad the roads were to this beach and thought it couldn't be that bad- wrong! It was horrible- my husband and kids thought it was fun, mostly it makes you car sick and it is at least 15-20 minutes of very bad road once you get off the main road. We were completely alone here- tried... More

We snorkeled Red, Blue, Secret, and Green beaches, as well as the Mosquito pier. I am 51, my wife is 44, and kids are 21,20, and 14. This was our first time snorkeling together and all were easy swims and we had a blast! The best beach was Green beach. Yes, you need a jeep and a sports bra on... More

Green beach has some of the best snorkeling I have ever seen. The beach has very few visitors as it is a two mile dirt road that has huge pot holes, need 4 wheel drive to out there. It is so worth the ride out to the beach.

You take yourself over a road that has seen many washouts , through a mangrove swamp and you will find a quiet paradise. Unspoiled, private beauty. Not a lot of shade on Green beach, but plenty of solitude.

But, if you want to snorkel without paying, this is the beach to go to. There are a couple of semi-dead coral reefs just off the beach, one to the right, one to the left. Not much directly out in front. You'll know when you find them because there are some massive upthrust stones in jagged formations...just beyond them are... More
