Our first time on the island we did not visit Sun Bay, instead spent a lot of time a La Chiva, Puntas Arenas, and Navio. However, this past time we went La Chiva was closed for cleanup. We also stayed for two weeks this time instead of one. So, we spent at least 4 days at Sun Bay this time.... More

We walked there from our hotel room at least once a day. It is very accessible for snorkelers, great for swimming and has a park with horses walking around grazing in an open field. Palm and coconut trees along the banks. Tasty coconut if you can get the darned things opened.

Everyone raves about Flamenco Beach, and it's rating as one of the best beaches in the world, and we visited Sun Bay as well as Flamenco Beach while visiting Puerto Rico, and I have to say that Sun Beach was just as beautiful if not more. I feel that it was cleaner due to the less traffic of people all... More

this is one of the many beaches you can enjoy in Vieques. Take your snorkel and get lost in the water. It could be perfect if it had more sandy area to out your towel and bag but the trees make up for it since you need some shade to hide from this perfect weather.

If you arrive before 10am or after 5pm (I think) you don't have to pay to get in...but it's only $2/car anyways. That goes to keeping the place nice, which it is very nice. It's a huge beach, where most the locals go. But the beach is so big, that you do not get the crowded feeling. Great snorkeling to... More

One day, we drove past this beach on our way to Navio and Media Luna. It was gorgeous and I got out to take pictures. We were short on time so we didn't stop to enjoy. We did make it back a few days later for a beach party that was planned for the day after the wedding we were... More

Excellent large beach, with some shade. Wonderful bay and great for kids. Not much snorkeling in the area, water was very warm and color was great.

This was my favorite of the beaches. Again we got here around 9am and were the only ones on the beach except for wild horses. So peaceful it's erie. Water was calm without rocks in the ocean floor. Picture perfect.

One of my favorite spots in Vieques , beautiful water , sand and they also have areas for camping , you can also go thru Sunbay beach to get to the bioluminicent bay areas as well as to media luna beach and Navio. There's a fee to go in with a vehicle but it's worth it because you get to... More

One of our favorite beaches. The beach is a long beach and absolutely beautiful. What makes it even better are the palm trees located all over that provide great shade during the heat of the day and the fact you can park your car right behind where you are on the beach. Also, near the entrance are restrooms and an... More
