Spend several days at Sun Beach. Very clean, wide beach. The waves were enough to keep my son satisfied playing, but not so rough as to keep my daughter out of the water. Not crowded. Large enough that even saw wild horses running on the beach.

Sun beach is very easy to get to, and is simply amazing! Tons and tons of white sugar sand, and everything a great beach should be. Not overly crowed when we were there, but I imagine that it could be on some days, but still it is better than 90% of the hundreds of beaches I've spent time at all... More

Sun Bay is a lovely public beach where you pay $2.00 when entering. But, many times, there is no one there to collect your money, so you get in free. No one was there to collect a fee when we arrived, so we entered without paying. There is a lot of parking available here. Sun Bay has a VERY large... More

Grabbed a bite to eat at Duffy's, then wandered down to the water and strolled around to what we later learned was Sun Bay. The kids loved the waves and we all loved the unexpected surprise of wild horses thundering right by our beach umbrella! Like others have stated, there are more locals here, but I personally enjoy that aspect... More

Clean, beautiful beach. You can't ask for more. We arrived ion the ferry and since we were hungry we had the taxi bring us to Esperanza to get a bite to eat. It was about a 10-15 minute taxi drive, not long at all. From Esperanza you can walk the beach or back road to Sun Bay. It's about a... More

Very easy access, huge sandy beach with gentle slope, mild waves. Kids played for a long time in the shallow waters. LOTS of horses on way in around the fields!!

I guess we arrived after a busy weekend. The restrooms were destroyed. It was pretty gross. HOWEVER, that being said, the beach was still unbelievably beautiful.

No snorkeling off the beach here, but plenty of shade under the coconut palms. Take a hike to the right of the beach to the other side of the Cay and get some great views.

Sun Bay has a huge parking lot (and sometimes there's an attendant collecting $2.00 to enter with a car). There are bathrooms, which almost no other beach has, and plenty of super easy parking. The road is paved, and unlike the other beaches on the island that often require a Jeep to get to, you could easily drive any car.... More
