Depending on the time of the year you can get TO enjoy a very calm Beach Or some waves, but always a breathtaking sunset and food and drinks at the restaurant there. It's the only Beach with public bathrooms, phone, food and drinks, showers and camping area with 24-7 security guards, just in case ;)

Another beautiful beach, walking distance from town. The Palm trees were beautiful. Not even crowded (during off-season).

Sun bay is still the best beach on the island, you drive to a dozen other beachs on vieques and they are all wonderful but a morning walk from Esperanza to tres palmas (my official office) daily on sun bay gives you a reason to live, my favorite place in the world

We were kind of Tourist-trapped into visiting this beach. We took the 1:00pm ferry to vieques and there was not enough time before we got back for the last ferry at 6:00pm. Assoon as we came off the boat, a taxi cab driver asked us where we wanted to go and having read great reviews about blue beach, I asked... More

We visited the island of Viegues as part of Explorer Travel Lounge's "tried and tested" of Puerto Rico. To me this is how Puerto Rico should be; very laid back and rustic. So very different to the American hustle and bustle of the mainland. After parking We caught an early ferry from Fajardo. The parking is not badly priced and... More

My girlfriend and I camped at Sun Bay for two nights during our visit to Vieques. We used our rental car to get to some of the better beaches (La Chiva and Caracas). The Sun Bay beach isn't really that great, but at night we stayed at the campgrounds (only $10/night). They have a parking lot and also a night... More

We were warned off this beach by our landlord. If you drive left after going through the gate, there is an expansive and (when we were there) sparsely visited beach. The sand is incredibly fine out in the bathing area, almost chalky. another beautiful spot on vieques. one funny bit, We parked at what we thought was the end, but... More

Huge beach close to Esperanza. Excellent for family outings, swimming, snorkeling and just walking (a very long beach.) We had the beach all to ourselves. Gets a little busier on the weekends. Lots of horses gather at this location, a community park with concessions and facilities. You will love this beach. B&B

The beach is gorgeous, the water was warm and clear and the sand was soft. We were the only ones on the beach.....it was perfect.
