Sun bay is just beautiful, watch your step going in as there is a natural sand bank but then it's great...best to have a special picnic catered or on your own, lot's of space for large groups....I just love it here, so scenic !

Although it is a beautiful beach, is one of the points where the mass transport takes tourists to Vieques for a day which makes it a very busy and not so relaxing point as the other beaches in Vieques. If what you want is peace and quiet, this beach is not for you. Get there very early to enjoy a... More

I loved the beach here---and the fact that this is a park that is staffed with local rangers. The beach is beautiful and long and here you are able to have access to bathroom facilities, shade, snacks and you may even experience a group of wild horses running along the beach. Most of all, you can go and totally be... More

While not the 'best' beach on the island...it's certainly the easiest to get to and has the best 'amenities' (bathroom, restaurant, etc.). Beach quality was nice...not as clear as I expected but there was a storm brewing which always shakes up the sand.

Granted, we were on Vieques in the low season, but this beach / bay is spectacular, and we were literally two of no more than 30 people on the entire one mile expanse of beach front. Clean beach, no seaweed or leaves about. The water is crystal clear and looks like blue Gatorade as it gets deeper. The sand is... More

a quick walk from Esperanza, and where we spent a lot of our time. quiet, with the occasional family of horses walking by. water & sand are gorgeous and the bay goes on for miles.

A quintessential beach: Long stretches of glistening sand, turquoise blue water, palm trees for shade, and not another person in sight.

This is a beautiful beach and a great place to see horses. It is not overly crowded. There is a place to purchase food and drinks. The food/drinks were great, with wonderful customer service.

Sun Bay is beautiful and strange. The sand is coarse and the water looks better than the experience. We loved the wild horses and a beautiful sunset, but there are far better places to swim.

All the beaches are so amazing...try them all. The sand here is like baby powder. Is there a more perfect beach anywhere? I am done looking.
