Beautiful Beach

This place is breathtaking. I have never seen so many wild horses in one location. The beach is clean & the water is pristine.

This spot had a long stretch of beaches to enjoy. Very clear water and not a ton of seaweed. Water was perfect!

Sun bay is a beautiful beach. It is the easiest to get to in Vieques and usually where the locals go. You can't go wrong here. It can be crowded during peak times, which is the only downfall to this beach

Great public beach complete with facilities such as restrooms. Deeper in you'll find Playa Media Luna and Navio beach for breathtaking private views. Sun Bay is clean, however the other wild beaches have sand burrs and bees. Bring water and beach chairs.

Sun Bay is definitely one of the nicest beaches in the island with tranquil blue water you will enjoy your day under the sun. By paying a $2 fee you will have access to the only beach in Vieques with bathrooms, restaurant and store. There is limited shade so make sure to take an umbrella if you expect to stay... More

Gorgeous, clean water... Up close encounters with safe marine life... I cannot elaborate on how beautiful this beach is. Go see for yourself :)

We found not all it was cracked up to be. However I must say it was rainy the first time we went, and windy/cloudy the next time. It's a beautiful, VERY large beach to take pictures of - but the waves were pretty wavy and it wasn't calm like I thought it would be. It's too bad all the little... More

Sun Bay is the official government-run public beach (balneario) on the south shore of Vieques. You can walk to it along the beach from Esperanza. There are limited facilities, but plenty of parking for those arriving by car. It's a good, long sandy crescent with a sandy bottom that drops off fast. Good wave action, not calm water.

Offers amenities (bathroom) and you can walk from Esperanza. Plenty of palm trees and a huge beach with crystal clear water. The beauty and accessibility made this beach 100% worth it trip.

This beach seems to get knocked because it is more crowded then the other ones. The beach is extremely long though, about a mile, so if your willing to walk a bit you can likely find an uncrowded spot. The beach is one of the most beautiful on the island and should be visited. There is a 2 dollar fee... More
