The waves are great for boards. You can walk out for a long ways and the sand is like powdered sugar in color, and so fine.

The adventure of getting to this beach is half the fun. The puddles you have to drive through along the way look scarier than they actually are. They're rock on the bottom so don't worry about getting stuck. Once you get to the beach it's a beautiful solitary beach with caves and rocky out croppings on both sides.

After one look at the jeep-sized silkholes on the road to Navio, we ditched our vehicle and walked. We'd seen the "from inside the cave" photo and wanted to see it in person. Thing is, you can't get to the cave without calm surf and/or some serious hiking shoes. The beach was covered in kelp (not the beach's fault, but... More

Did some snorkeling and loved it here. The cave is a great place for pics. We were literally the only ones here. YOU MUST HAVE 4WD to get to this beach as it takes a little bit to find. Road is accessed from SunBay Beach.

Beautiful beach with nice surf. It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach it by foot thru a nice easy trail. Wear insect repellent for that part of the trip. We had the whole beach to ourselves! Not much shade so you may want to bring parasol. Otherwise, worth it!

Enter through Sun Bay Beach gate and keep driving for 1.5 miles aprox. The water is very clear and not many people go there because of the long dirt road leading to it so rent a Jeep. Bring water and supplies.

We went to the Sun Bay complex and visited Media Luna and Navio beaches and loved both of them (and we're from the Florida Gulf Coast). We were uncertain about driving the rental to Navio and decided to take the walk instead. Turns out it's just a short distance and well worth the walk. My daughter and I explored the... More

You need a jeep to get here, but it is worth the trouble, the bumpy road and the feelings that you are navigating the jungle to get there. On a recent visit, over most of the day, there were only two other groups of people on the entire beach. It was incredibly relaxing and wonderful to experience. There are no... More

It's an adventure getting there (4x4 only), and when you finally do, it's kind of a let-down: a small beach, mostly overrun by seaweed and vegetation.
