Our tour guides showed up late and intoxicated, and introduced himself to our group with homophobic remarks. The meet up point is La Tienda Verde, a liquor store in Esperanza. If you have your own car, DO NOT drive it on the roads to the bay; it is unsafe with huge potholes and puddles that will ruin and scratch your... More

AVOID! Memorable & unforgettable, for all the wrong reasons. There's nothing that instills confidence in your personal safety like a business that employs individuals that show up late and are clearly intoxicated. We showed up at the meeting location and stood around with our towels for a good 15-20mins wondering what was going on. Another individual approached us and was... More

My girlfriend and I went kayaking throught the mangroves, and swimming in the bioluminesscent bay in early January 2011. The scenery was astonishing and swimming in the bioluminescent bay unforgettable. However, the tour guide was an hour late (Vieques time) and drunk/high. He was drinking while driving and stated that the person making the reservations was passed out drunk by... More

Judging by the description I was expecting a nice kayak tour....honestly it was grueling, stressful and dangerous. Yeah the mangrove is OK, but paddling on a kayak at night, next to a rocky shore trying to follow the faint light of your guide that’s almost a 100 meters away was crazy..I really hated this experience and will probably never get... We booked a bio bay tour with Tim at Aqua Frenzy. He seemed very nice on the phone but the person who was supposed to meet us for the tour never showed up. We waited over 45 minutes. When we spoke again to Tim the next day he was very apologetic saying that the guy forgot and that it only... More

I chose Aqua Frenzy because we wanted to experience the biobay on kayaks and also wanted to see the mangroves. Yes, we made the right decision here! My husband and I were the only two on the tour and Tom took us out in the late afternoon. We kayaked across the bay and pulled ourselves through a maze of mangroves,... More

Going on a Biobay kayak tour was my top objective for my short trip to PR. I had some previous experience swimming in a bioluminescent area before so I had extremely high expectations. They were met on my trip with Aqua Frenzy. To make my reservation I called the listed number but got the answering machine, which directed me to... More

First, Tim, the owner, acted like president of the Chamber of Commerce for Vieques. He helped us with travel arrangements and accommodations on Vieques with very short notice, all over the phone. We opted for the Mangrove forest tour, which included an afternoon kayak tour of the Mangroves, a beach picnic (we brought our own wine-they supplied the food and... More

I will add to the compliments for Tom and the kayak tour. He is full of information about the biobay, mangroves and the area. The kayak tour was great, the beach is beautiful and the biobay is something I will never forget.

There are many things to see and do in Puerto Rico, but this tour was easily the most memorable and different kind of experience. My lady and I went with Tom on an excursion through Red Mangrove forest (without which there would be no bioluminescent bay), then on to a white sandy beach at the mouth of the bay. There... More
