I've gone to see the Bio Bay 2 years in a row with Abe's and I have been completely satisfed both times. The guides offer you non-toxic bug repellent before loading everyone into the vans to go to the bay. Once there, everyone is given life jackets and helped into their kayak. The guides explained why the conditioned in the... More

Abe's daughter was a great guide. We kayaked, snorkeled & enjoyed a secluded beach. My parents are in their 70s - kayaking & snorkeling for the first time and they enjoyed it. The guides were very patient and helpful. We learned more about the island and the importance of the bays, fauna & reef on the tour too. My athletic... More

Our driver and the guides spoke on their cellphones and to each other more than they spoke to us. There were 38 of us total. The guide gave barely any kayaking instruction before we were suited up to head to the bio bay. Luckily I had kayaking experience already, but some people did not which made it difficult to keep... We went last night and the bay is glowing brightly. There was no moon out and we could really see the water glowing with our oars and hands. If you have any reservations GO, I can't imagine it being any better than last night. We were picked up at sun bay beach parking lot and loaded into vans. There was... More

Our experience with Abe's was great! They were on time & as organized I think they could be with 18 groups of people from a little bit of everywhere. Our guide Jeff was awesome! Very funny and informative, even when dealing with beginners who brought their very young & scared toddler =/ One dislike: we were originally supposed to be... More

We signed up for Abe's biobay tour week before our arrival. They assured me the biobay was shining and we would see it. We schedule it our first night May 4th in Vieques, knowing our best bet would be to go before the moon got too big later in our stay. Our tour had almost 30 people on it at... More

We just came back from Vieques and booked a Bio Bay tour with Abe's for Saturday night. We waited (and were extra early) for a pick up at Banana's but they never showed up! A girl that had also booked a tour with them and who knew the driver at Abe's told us that there were protestors at the gate... More

We just got back from Vieques where we spent two days. We had heard that the bio bay was going dark and we planned our trip for May 5th, the earliest we could get there but there was still a little moonlight which is not ideal. I have to say that if we had not paid for our expensive hotel... More

We called Abe's at the last minute and were able to go kayaking to the bio bay with them. They were the only company that would allow our 5-year old son on the kayak with us. We had read and heard that they tended to have large groups. Ours was 37, with 17 kayaks, so it was large. There were... More

Let's break it down: if you have fins and a snorkel (or can rent on beach for the day, some guest houses have for free), have any idea how to snorkel, and have any idea how to use a kayak (again the rentals on the beach-with life jacket were better than we used with Abe's company)...you can do 1/2 of...
