Great coffee! Great tour with Sebastien! Great environment! We had the best time on this tour and really appreciated Sebastien's sense of humor. The coffee was amazing! Unfortunately, due to a fungus their production is low so go before they run out of coffee! Probably the best coffee I have ever had, you can really taste the love and quality... More

By chance I got on the homepage of Kurt's and Sebastian's farm while lying on my deckchair at the beautiful coco beach. My wife and I love coffee, the italian style not the starbucks style. So I contacted Kurt by email. Two days later we visited the farm and joined a group of coffee fans. In the shadow of one... More

Kurt Legner, an interesting German immigrant with decades of experience growing coffee, begins the event by providing a detailed history of coffee. His son then gives an extremely informative tour explaining how the family coffee hacienda turns a coffee bean to a superior product. The entire event takes approximately 2 hours, is inexpensive, and doable by children and elderly alike.... More

Lynn & I toured this eco-friendly coffee plantation in early November, 2015. The tour was guided by the owners son He is very educational and an interesting speaker. He waked us thru the coffee growth, harvest and processing to the table in good fashion. By the end of the tour we so smitten w/ the finished product that we purchased... More

My mother and I came to Puerto Rico for my senior trip. Both avid coffee drinkers, we thought it would be interesting to tour a coffee plantation. Our friends had been to Hacienda Pomarrosa previously and recommended it to us. It took us a while to find it on the winding roads but it was well worth the drive! When... More

This is certainly "out-of-the-way" but very much worth the trip. Kurt Legner, plantation owner, provides a richly detailed history of coffee and how it ends up in the New World. His son Sebastian offers a marvelous (very do-able) tour of the plantation walking folks through the process from planting the coffee to harvesting, processing and serving. Guests receive drip coffee... More

I was not excited about touring a coffee plantation but my husband really wanted to go so off we went. How wrong I was! First of all, the drive is really beautiful - up the side of a mountain about 3500 ft up. When we were about 75% of the way there we came across the creepiest "shrine" I have... More

I cannot speak highly enough about Hacienda Pomarrosa! Kurt and Sebastian are truly talented and special people. Kurt started our tour off by giving a fascinating history of how coffee arrived in Puerto Rico. Sebastian served us amazing iced coffee to cool off while we listened. After Kurt finished wowing us with his knowledge, Sebastian took us around the beautiful... More

While vacationing in Isla Verde, I wanted to do something different on this PR trip and I convinced my hubby to drive me about 2 hours south and up and up and up into the mountains in Ponce. Finally arriving at Pomarrosa, we met the owners and were served the most delicious coffee (with no milk or sugar) Ive ever... More

I had never visited a coffee plantation and being locals, we thought it could be something fun and different to experience. We got in the car and drove at least 2 hours, taking the risk to see if it would be open when we arrived. Once we got there we learned that the tours of the plantation are by reservation... More
