We had the best time with the owners of this coffee plantation. We started with a cup of coffee and home made banana nut bread, made with bananas they grew. They shared with us the history of coffee and how it eventually ended up in Puerto Rico. Kurt, the father, is an excellent story teller and kept our attention for... More

First and foremost, the coffee was delicious! Walking through the plantation and learning of the whole process was fun and insightful. The family was welcoming and sweet. Definitely a must-see in Ponce.

What a lovely place and the hosts were both knowledgable and entertaining. We had great coffee and a tour of the farm with a beautifully planted garden. It was a privilege!

...and you will never buy cheap coffee again!! This was my first trip to a working coffee plantation. I know they're many in my island, and I will check another one on my next trip, since I love coffee. I live in Texas, so I visit once a year. I also need to know more about Puerto Rico. This tour... Wonderful host who provided an very interesting guide of the history of coffee and specifically how it came to Puerto Rico. We were greeted warmly and served coffee during the historical tour and then set out on the small plantation tour. In October all aspects of coffee harvesting and processing were in effect. This is a small operation and the... More

As a coffee lover, this tour was amazing! Educational, interesting, and absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. Kurt & Sebastian were so hospitable & engaging. The tour started with a brief history by Kurt while they served us fresh coffee & amazing banana bread made from the bananas grown on the property. Then Sebastian gave us a tour of the... More

It was a long, long, drive from Fajardo to Hacienda Pomarrosa. We allotted over two hours, but it took 2.5, so we were a little late. We missed the final turn off the road to their driveway because the sign is so hard to see, which set us back a bit more. Kurt and Sebastian were gracious hosts, however, and... More

This was a great coffee tour. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. I loved seeing how it goes from tree to cup and I loved the passion they clearly have. The coffee was excellent. We own a cupcake shop and we also have gourmet coffee so it was also a great learning experience. I brought the coffee home and I... More
