We had a wonderful time here. The coffee was the best I've ever had, the place was beautiful, tour was interesting and our hosts were gracious and entertaining.

It was a long, long, drive from Fajardo to Hacienda Pomarrosa. We allotted over two hours, but it took 2.5, so we were a little late. We missed the final turn off the road to their driveway because the sign is so hard to see, which set us back a bit more. Kurt and Sebastian were gracious hosts, however, and... More

This was a great coffee tour. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. I loved seeing how it goes from tree to cup and I loved the passion they clearly have. The coffee was excellent. We own a cupcake shop and we also have gourmet coffee so it was also a great learning experience. I brought the coffee home and I... More

Kurt, the owner, and his son, Sebastian, led my group of 12 students through a spectacular tour starting with savory coffee and ending with cappuccinos in a breezy hillside pavilion. The tour, which lasted about 2 1/2 hours, was well worth the $15 a person and, according to our students, was one of the best parts of our eleven day... More

As stated by those who have taken Pomarrosa's coffee plantation tour, DO get directions from friendly owner, Kurt Legner ( he will e-mail directions) & have his phone # handy, so you can call him when you get lost. Their sign - " Pomarrosa" hanging over their drive was difficult to see & we missed the turn on way there.... More

After a winding and adventurous drive up to Cafe Pomarrosa, we were treated to spectacular views of a working artisanal coffee plantation in the mountains near Ponce, Puerto Rico. Sebastian treated us to some coffee and homemade banana bread before taking us on a walking tour of the plantation. He guided us on the trail through the coffee trees and... More

Friends took us to Hacienda Pomarrosa after they fell in love with it a year ago. What good friends to share this treat with us! The road up the mountain is twisting and steep, but the views and neighborhoods along it were well worth the drive. (We did fortify with Bonine.) We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by Sebastian... More

The mountains are spectacular . We drove up from Ponce, and I mean UP , arriving the afternoon before the scheduled tour. We were the first guests to occupy the latest cabin, designed by the owner Kurt. Lovely spot with a private porch overlooking the tropical forest. The next day ,after a delicious breakfast which included perfectly ripe tropical fruits,... More

We love coffee, and so does Kurt and his son. From the moment you drive up the steep driveway to the plantation you feel like a welcome member of an exclusive class who have learned and experienced coffee on another level. The experience starts with Kurt sharing the history of coffee from discovery to its introduction into the new world.... More

If you are in Puerto Rico, you cannot miss this tour! We drove from Carolina following the detailed directions that Kurt, the farm owner, emailed to us and found the place with no problem. The way can be quite confusing and the roads are very winding so if your prone to car sickness, take some Dramamine beforehand. We sat in... More
