This is a great museum if you want to know the history of Ponce. It was very interesting with a lot of details. I would recommend that you go with enough time if you want to see and read everything coz even is small it has a lot of things. We spend there around 40 minutes and we didn't read... More

There are a lot of museum in Ponce, that are for free. The guide nows a lot of the history of the town. It is short walk from the main square . Highly recommend if you visit the town. There are a lot of others near museum that are for free. On Sunday , they opened at 8:00 am.

The museum is small and free. It focuses on local history that would be of little interest to most people, other than maybe to see how people lived 100 years ago. It is definitively worth visiting if you are in Ponce, if only to see a traditional old house from the inside.

It is a blessing that the Doctor's beautiful gift to his wife now houses the history of Ponce. The mansion is magnificent and is worth a visit itself. The museum staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The place itself is nicely categorized by eras and socio-economic and political stages of development, yet progresses chronologically and with logic. The only downside... More

We wereparked by the Museum of music. It was closed so we walked and found the museum of history. It appeared closed. A man outside told us they were opening in a few minutes. We started taking pictures when Ronald opened the door, greeted us and invited us in. He took us from room to room and gave us a... More

This museum is free, which is a bonus while visiting Puerto Rico. You don't need much time for this museum; I visited it along with a couple others in a day. Almost everything is in Spanish, so I just walked around and looked at the pictures. One of the workers came over to me and explained lots of the pictures... More

A nice overview of the history of Ponce. Truly not geared to "the outsider" though as there is very very little that is presented in English! I enjoyed the detail of the history of the growth and life of the city and the CASA itself is beautiful.

The history of this museum begins as you walk into this charming 100 year old building. You can do a self guided tour or wait for a staff member. Great detail of the Señoral city of Ponce.
