Had a very pleasant time wandering through the plaza. Unfortunately, due to the drought ( I am assuming) the fountain was not operational. A pretty spot to sit and eat the ubiquitous quenepas.

We enjoyed our time in Ponce and spent two evenings exploring the main square. We stumbled upon a wedding party leaving the cathedral, which was neat to see. They pulled a vintage car up to the doors, and the bride and groom rode around the square. We also listened to a local community band concert on a Saturday night while... More

In PR every town has it's own Plaza. There you will find shops and restaurants. In Ponce you'll find a great souvenir shop, El Parque de Bombas, a fantastic ice cream shop and many places to eat. At night the Plaza is beautiful with the lights and the fountains.

This should be the first spot to visit while in Ponce, there's some stuff to do and see in this place, like Parque de Bombas, The Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, souvenir shops, restaurants and more... there's even a casino right in front of the plaza. You can just seat, relax and eat some ice cream or take a... More

This plaza is the perfect place to start a saturday stroll, or end the weekend eating a coconut ice cream from Kings Cream. Abundant trees, fountains and seating areas.

On a hot day it was a delight to find a shaded bench and enjoy lunch from one of the street vendors. Plaza is very nice with plenty of trees and statues. Unfortunately it was undergoing renovation so huge central fountain was not working. Parking is scare around the plaza and traffic at noon was very congested, so look for... More

The square is the city center which is magical during Christmas and Carnaval when all light decorations are up. Every Sunday during the year you can hear a free concert by the municipal orchestra which starts at 7pm. They play traditional music which you can enjo seating on a bench while eating ice cream from the local stand (kings Cream)... More

Plaza Las Delicious is the main plaza in Ponce. There are fountains and various monuments in the park. In the center of this plaza is the famous Fuente de los Leones (Lions Fountain). The large, round-shaped fountain is bounded by a low, granite wall. The fountain features four lion statues. The historic firehouse building, Parque de Bombas, is located here.... More

I stayed in Ponce for several days and luckily my hotel was right across from this plaza, so I was able to explore the area quite easily. The plaza is quite lovely and atmospheric, with several interesting attractions to see. The highlight is of course the amazing, white cathedral, but there are other worthwhile sights as well. The red and... More
