Wonderful statue and fountain!

Great place to visit and experience the culture of Western Puerto Rico! Right in the middle of downtown. We attended a free concert there one night.

Great place to visit and experience the culture of Western Puerto Rico! Right in the middle of downtown. We attended a free concert there one night.

Definitely a must for a photo op. I think people tend to forget the historical significance and architecture of PR. Downtown Mayaguez have some very beautiful architecture. Bring your camera and smile.

One of the many photo ops in Puerto RIco. Many towns have interesting statues, some with great historical interesting. Caguas and Ponce are two good examples.

A must see as the testament of the puertorican Spanish heritage. The statue and the plaza along with the city hall and the cathedral that sound the plaza are a must see. A great place to take some historic pictures with always friendly people around willing to take the picture for you a must have for your vacation album of the man that "discovered " Puerto Rico

This statue is in the middle of the plaza, it's very pretty and there are other statues of native Americans throughout the plaza.

Tall impressive statue in the center of an impressive old colonial style square, church, government buildings and lovely statuary and greenery and benches to relax.

It was great to see bu nothing worth planing a whole trip around. You can pretty much drive past it on your way somewhere else.
