The Acampa trip was waaay better than the tour we booked through our hotel!

My 15 year old son and I did the full day Toro Negro hike in early July. The scenery was beautiful. Our guides, Reynard and Cristina were both very knowledgeable and very friendly. In fact, they treated us like old friends. As an experienced hiker and backpacker, I would say that if you are of average or better fitness, you... More

We visited San Juan in August 2015, as one of the stops on our Carnival Cruise. This was my kids favorite stop (boys 9 and 12)! We booked based on Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. We did Acampa Nature Adventures 1/2 day MUCARO ZIPLINE RAINFOREST. They do others which if we go back we would try. The... More

My girlfriends and I did the Toro Negro full day tour in late July. Cristina and Reynard were wonderful tour guides in and out of the rainforest. The drive there and back is very beautiful and they helped describe the topography, culture, and ecology as we drove past. The trek itself is a good mix of climbing, hiking, and ziplines.... More

I just want to say that our tour guides were amazing. The plethora of information they gave alone was worth the cost of this excursion. Eduardo & Francisco really helped us out during our hike and it was nice that they showed us exactly where to place our footing when climbing up. We never felt left out. They kept us... More

Reynard was a very informative guide during our hike in El Yunque. We were able to hike through parts of the rainforest and saw things that we definitely would not have seen without his guidance, including Coqui frogs, walking stick bugs, and various kinds of plants. I learned a lot on the tour, but was expecting a more vigorous hike... More

We went on the full day trip through Toro Negro rain forest. It is a full day tour and lunch isn't until after you're finished so be sure to eat a good breakfast! Right away, you'll see amazing, beautiful sights. But it is fairly strenuous. Definitely more than just a "hike". I'm fairly out of shape so some parts were... More

We live on the island and visit the Yunque Rainforest frequently but decided to take a tour to learn more about wild life. It was a great half day experience. Our guide Reynard was very friendly, informative and safety conscious. The hike through the rainforest was wonderful lots of flora and fauna. We saw Coqui, national frog, birds (humming bird... We did the 1/2 day El Yunque tour with Acampa on 8/13/2015. They were well organized. Our guide was Reynard. He was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and eager to share. The tour was nicely paced - you walk a bit and then stop as he points out something in the forest. He explained quite a bit about the... More

We visited San Juan in July 2015 and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and funny. This was our first time rock climbing and zip lining and it was awesome! I would definitely do this tour again with this company. The lunch at the end was so delicious. The home cooked me... More
