We had trouble with Google leading us to a different garden but finally found the right place. Loved the little tour. Who can complain about a $5 tour with a knowledgeable guide. Great to have this in the middle of the city.

We visited on a Sunday morning, getting a (free) map in the shop (with a kindly English-speaking person), then following the boardwalk and gravel paths to the Monet Pond. It's a lovely sight though filled with what we call water cabbages instead of lilies, and as you relax and look more closely you can see striped turtles swimming in the... More

We went to visit and took the tour in the golf car with a guide. It was good, she explained different plants and trees. The entrance and parking is free but the tour cost 5 dollars per person. It was very peaceful, not many people visiting. Don't expect to see many flowers, I think this botanic garden has mostly trees.

This is a great garden to take a walk in nature without having to go outside the metro area. It usually doesnt have a crowds of people.

First of all I had trouble finding Jardin Botanico. But after finding it-- the only thing good about this place was that it was empty-- except for a group of school kids, I only saw two trees that where labeled , There was hardly a plant with flowers. There was very little signage. The only thing of ANY interest was... More

I was excited to visit the botanical gardens in San Juan Puerto Rico. We were told the best way to get there from old San Juan was by taxi. It was a $40 trip and when we arrived during hours they advertised as open, the place was completely deserted except for a security guard who knew nothing. After another $40... More

The garden is a beautiful sight to behold in a tropical setting. A little more funding would go a long way with upkeep, maintenance, and ensuring healthier longevity with the plants.

Though most of Puerto Rico is pretty much a lush garden, this park is worth the few dollars you'll pay for a guided tour to spot some of the beautiful flowers, trees and foliage.

Like most things in San Juan it could use a little TLC but overall lovely nature experience with wonderful old trees and plantings.
