This beach area is closer to Old San Juan, but it is not as nice as Isla Verde beach; water along both beaches was nice and warm in January. Condado is much narrower and more rocky. The main businesses along Ashford ave are limited and there are lots of old buildings just waiting to be torn down or refurbished. More... More

Because I stayed at the La Concha I had immediate access to the beach. It was peaceful and serene. I had a time to just relax. The neighborhood itself is great as well. Lots of food options and great shopping. I felt safe as this was my first time traveling alone!

I stayed in the Condado area for a day prior to the cruise, and wanted to get a jump start on my tan. I stepped on the beach at the end of the street just west of the Marriott. I walked a little to my left and just before the Atlantic Beach hotel, there was a guy (with a cute... More

I think if its that I give it a 3 star. Following reasons, the beach wasn't as clean as I would prefer to be. The tides were very high. I didn't enjoy that it wasn't crowded and we could walk around without being bothered. The weather was fantastic and the water was one considering it was January. I got to... More

We just came back from a two week vacation and stayed at Laconcha on Condado Beach. It is a beautiful beach with many resorts and restaurants along the beach. I would say if you are going to swim please do so with caution. Pretty rough out there. If you get a chance try the restaurant Oceano that is right on... More

I traveled to PR for the weekend solo and just wanted to sit at the beach. It was an easy walk from Ashford Ave where I stayed and I was able to inexpensively rent a chair for the day. The waves are big so its not the easiest to swim here but it was beautiful! It's a bit of a... More

Been coming here for years. This is a urban beach so you are right in the city, this is no isolated tropical escape so if that's what you want look elsewhere. However it has plenty of positives. There is an exciting vibrant neighborhood to explore with numerous shops, parks and restaurants just one street away. Also, the beach is well... More

Don't plan on staying anywhere near the Stella Maris park in Condado if you plan on sleeping! The park is overrun with chickens & roosters crowing all night. I counted 3 roosters! The benches are covered w/ bird droppings so you can't enjoy the area.

Not the most beautiful beach or the best kept. But it's a beach. A block from the hotel. Free. Beautiful views. Strong undertow. Nice waves. Some rocks (stay away). A couple of vendors. Beach chairs available for rent. (We bought towels on sale at Walgreens and saved the money for other fun.) We were told not to walk on the... More

Talk about convenient! The Condado beach is not the most beautiful beach in Puerto Rico, not by a long shot, but it is a bona fide beach right in Condado! That is convenient. There are plenty of food and drink places at various places along the beach including the world famous Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop and cafe!! The... More
