We have walked by this spot twice now. The first time by chance and the second time a few days ago because I had to find the coffee kiosk. I don't know why, but the green coffee kiosk on the corner of the plaza has the best café con leche that I have ever had in my life. Don't let... More

Beginning at 7:00 AM, the Town Hall blasts a recording of church bells. It is so loud that the sound distorts and becomes painful to the ear. Although Ground Zero is Plaza de Armas, the noise penetrates a km-wide radius. So, if you don’t want to get up at 7:00 AM, don’t book in Old San Juan. Believe me, you... More

Stopped by this square every day from the apartment in which we were staying. I loved coming down here everyday it's as if time doesn't exist! I would get a cafe con leche and just people watch. I miss it already!

One of the things that I loved most about Old San Juan were the many plazas each with there own unique character and personality. This was one of the larger plazas. We stayed in San Juan for a week and had plenty of time to roam the streets. If you have the time I would see as many of the... More

Here you can see the "Casa Alcaldía (Major Office building) and some nice business and restaurants nearby. Just go through this plaza when walking from your cruise ship to the Catedral...

If you like pigeons, you'll love this plaza. Otherwise, there's not much reason to go unless just passing through. The birds are everywhere, and despite the no feeding regulation, people do it anyway and more of them appear. There was a pleasant Christmas tree, but it was hard to enjoy with the large groups of children throwing down the snapping... More

Everytime we have come here there is something going on. Love to grab a mojo to and people watch. Always music playing and people dancing. Romantic and family friendly. Love it when they have the open market going on. Always stock up on goats milk homemade soap. It's free so how can it be bad. I imagine many a couples... More

It's ok and worth walking to since it's on the way to so many other attractions in OSJ. This is in competition with many seaside attractions in OSJ and other larger fountains in OSJ so it wasn't my favorite. If you're doing a lot of walking in OSJ, it's worth checking out since it has a great location.

Great place to people watch. Only walked by this to find gift shops but would've stayed if I had time.

After 10 years my wife and I came to this plaza and it still looks the same (Thank God). It is a nice place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing and walking. The people are friendly along with the street vendors selling refreshments. I actually ran into someone who worked for the same company I did... More
