Lot of shops and pigeons! it's a good place to sit down and relax for a few min. The shade trees are great and the ice cream guys are friendly with plenty of ice cream!

Siting in this lovely vibrant plaza it feel's like your in the hart of this tiny city; some times has live entertainment & always has pigeons. From its ancient looking Kiosk's you can buy, pastries & Tea or Coffee; little shops & Resteraunts circle the Plaza & tucked into the old architecture you will find a modern day pharmacy &... More

We met our food tour group at this square in the middle of Old San Juan. This square is surrounded by old buildings with all sorts of amenities. The Old San Juan drug store is here, a Wendy's and a Subway along with a yogurt place in addition to the US State Department building. Lots of people are around and... More

This site is worth a visit. As you stroll through town this area is nice to take a break and people watch. You can also do the obligatory pigeon thing. Kids will love the pigeons and the fountain. Lots of cheap supplies nearby with Marshalls, Walgreens and a Grocery store right there. You can get your cheap supplies here including... More

The front view of city hall is the pink building with the clock. The back of this building on the street behind is in blue. Heaps of pigeons so be careful where you sit, lots of pigeon droppings. Old San Juan has lots of these plazas which is a Square. Lovely resting spot. Up the hill a little towards the... More

We took a break here during our walk through Old Town. The 4, 5 and 6yo kids made wishes and threw coins in the Four Seasons fountain then posed for a photo 'gangnam style' next to the sculpture of Curet Alonso seated on a bench. There's a little coffee kiosk in the plaza where you can sit at a table... More

I walked through here several times as I made my way around town. I stopped twice to have a great iced coffee at the little kiosk over on the side of the square by the State Dept. building. They make it to order with espresso- lots of good coffee in San Juan. Good people watching any day, on Saturday there... More

During my two week stay in OSJ, this became one of my favorite places. It's quaint, shady and quite breezy. Often, my family and friends, used it as our meeting location. From Plaza de Armas, you can shop, eat at fast food restaurants, enjoy coffee shops, frozen yogurt, and the kind Puerto Ricans. On some days, a pick-up truck would... More

This charming little park is a great place to relax between visits to the shops in Old San Juan. Get your picture taken with the seated man sculpture, who looks incredibly real, and listed to the pigeons softly call to one another.

We took a break at Plaza de Armas, sat down at one of the benches and watched all of the different people going by. There are locals, tourists, and all different races, sizes, and shapes of people walking through here at any given time. An old man got the pigeons in a frenzy feeding them chips while he was having... More
