This fort is part of the National Park Service and in 1983, was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations. In my opinion is a beautiful place where you are going to able to take nice pictures. There is a small entrance fee (being a while since my last visit so I do not remember how much). How... more

What can I say?? I was speechless when as I walked this amazing piece of history. I used all my film here. It's beautiful, awesome, wonderful. Gorgeous views all around. It's well worth the time and effort. I got my best tan there due to all the time I took exploring. I couldn't understand the big deal behind this fort... more

In my opinion, you must see El Morro during your trip. It's inexpensive and great for pictures. There are many places around the fort that you can look out at the breathtaking views of the water and learn about the history of the structure. more

My family visited El Morro while in Puerto Rico. It was a very interesting spot to visit, and I would recommend it to everyone. It is very warm, so be sure to bring some water with you. They have a nice theater that shows a short movie where you can cool off. You can get some beautiful pictures while here.... more

We have been to El Morro twice. What a great Fort with so Much History. The first time we went on our own and got to the fort around 1PM. It was very HOT. We spent about 2 hours there. On this trip we went on Segway Tours and their guide walked us though the fort. What a pleasure. We... more

El Morro was a neat place to visit. I recommend listening to the "orientation" as they only give guided tours once a day in English and once in Spanish. The Orientation is done by a Park Ranger and he gives a nice overview of the history behind the Castle. more

This place is a good place to go to. I am not a big history person but all of the rooms and floors in the castle were amazing. It is a bit of a walk and i recomend that you definitely take your walking shoes and not flip flops. There are a lot of stair climbing so be prepared for... more

El Moro Castle is terrific. Its location is spectacular and it's a wonderful way to spend 1-2 hours. However, be forewarned that you need to be in decent shape to get around, as there are a lot of steps and it gets pretty hot. more

I was actually suprised at how cool I thought El Morro was. Buy the combined ticket to see both forts (Cristobal and El Morro). They both offer an amazing look back in time and some amazing scenery. My wife and I loved it. There are some really great photo ops here. more
