Very old and very beautiful inside. Pictures just doesn't do this place justice at all. You have to go to experience this place for yourself.

This was a nice church, but it was really nothing special. If you are going to pass it during a walk through Old San Juan, then take a look. Otherwise, I wouldn't make a special trip to see it.

Truly a magical site, but unfortunately it is under renovation and could only see a small part of the rich history.

We were there for just a few minutes. Similar to many of the old Cathedrals in San Antonio and San Diego. Worth a look but not necessarily a destination.

Lovely old church, with some magnificent frescos, statues, paintings and stain glass. Few areas in which to light candles and say a special prayer.

This is a very old (16th century?) church. Although not as grand as some of the older cathedrals/churches in Europe, it still is an amazing place. There is no air conditioning...just multiple fans which did not do too much to dispel the heat. But we actually experienced Mass for 20 minutes and delightful it was. Heard the most amazing singing... More

Architecture students, history buffs, hot tourists, are all over this extremely old building. Most go to look for something ornate or austere but may miss that this place is really a very simple, small cathedral still in use for hundreds of years. People are worshiping, praying, and church activities are ongoing. We're not even religious but we made a small... More

So much history. Beautiful cathedral that has been well cared for in the past centuries. Close to the Hotel Convento. It is truly a wonderful experience just to stand in the back of the cathedral looking at the alter.
