It has been at a slow pace, but the vision of many architects, government leaders, and planners of revitalizing Santurce is coming to pass. Fine arts theaters,... More

This is where the locals go. Mainly the crowds over 30, go there for Happy hour. The area is not glamorous, but once you get to the center you will have a good time. Parking may be challenging.

La Placita Santurce, markets by day and on some nights, i think Thursdays and weekends it turns in to a lively night spot for all the locals to hang out and listen to amazing live music on the street and dance the night away. Definitely a true and amazing cultural experience that you will never forget. I hope this review... More

the picture don't make justice to Santurce either , you should take a picture of Ponce de Leon ave because it crosses the Santurce section of San Juan from one side to the other(picture from Ponce de leon & de diego ave) or from Ponce de Leon & calle del Parque

We went there when the market was open and had dinner along the street. Happy hour was like watching a fashion show. Everybody came there after work to enjoy happy hour and we enjoyed it with them.

Beautiful place! Clear water, nice sand, and a whole lot to do. We went parasailing, on a banana boat, and jet skiiing there. They were all great, a bit expenisve but expected and still great. The staff aren't the friendliest but the fun is worth it. The banana boat was a lot of fun along with the parasailing. Jet skiing... More

I am really sorry to say this, but Santurce is just a shadow of what is used to be. This is a large area with a blending of busnisses, residential facilities (condos & houses), educational institutions, and recreational facilities. The one thing that stills stands out is "La Placita". You can find bars, restaurants, and a farmers market with a... More

We went to the Placita de Santurce on a Friday night, and it was an amazing experience! This is where the locals go for some good basic food (alcapurrias in a chinchorro, yum!), for music and dancing. It is best to go with a group, as it adds more to the experience, but it would be fine for couples as well.... More
