Stop by...sit for a spell...and try to imagine an older time. This is just one of many brilliant stops along the way.

I always use the paseo heading along the old city wall terminating at El Morro. It is a flat walk to the San Juan Gate where you can head to the old church and Plaza de Armas.

My wife and I recently travelled to Puerto Rico and Old San Juan for the second time and did as much walking and sightseeing as we could. There is just so much to see and do in the old walled city. This area near the port is just filled with photographic sites and beautiful views and the La Princesa Gallery... More

This was a pretty sculpture garden that we walked thru on our way to La Muralla. There are pretty flowers here as well. The signs are in Spanish so a translation app is very helpful. The Old San Juan wall made a beautiful backdrop.

Old San Juan is full of these little surprises that pop up while you stroll through the town enjoying the shaded walks, the lovely March Atlantic tradewinds. This is right off the Passaje Princess a nice stop on a pleasant stroll . There are interesting pieces of sculpture scattered through Old San Juan like this

This is a beautiful, great, romantic, educational, and just plain amazing spot on the island. This is always a must see. It's right by the ports, so it's easy to get to for the people coming in cruises. I love my island!
