The four of us stopped in on a whim for a quick shot of Fireball. The barmaid was cute and fairly friendly- the highlight of the day was when her tough demeanor dropped off and her face lit up and she flashed a huge smile when we left her a very generous tip. We were the only people there, I... More

This place defines don't judge a book by it's cover. From the outside this place may look off putting to some but the drinks are cheap and the bartender does not skimp on the alcohol. This was one of my favorite places I visited when I was in Old San Juan. Very chill atmosphere and the bar decor is really... More

El Batey is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Good drinks, good prices, no fuss. We don't want the typical touristy spot- we like to go where the locals go and El Batey is the place. We can't wait to go back!!

This is a great little bar in old town, with tons of atmosphere... Well worth a visit for a drink, or two, or three, or more maybe :-) If you want fabulous food, Bodega Chic is a few doors up the street - the cocktails are fabulous and the food is all freshly made and extremely good :-)

This was my go to joint for drinks in Old San Juan. Haven't been here for a few years, so was looking to reconnect on a recent trip. Went there yesterday, but the place was closed, there was a padlock on the door and some official notice type sign on the door. I have no idea what the story is-... More

I had a great time at this bar. It was cheap and had great music. What I loved the most was people from all over the world where here. I don't think I saw not even one local. It w as cool. Def a must try. Bartenders were cool too.

Great bartenders and locals! Good, cheap drinks and fab jukebox! Bring a business card and a sharpie.

My boyfriend and I stopped here (by stopped I mean I was pulled in by the sounds of Killer Queen emanating from the place) for a drink on our last trip to PR. Awesome! Bartenders were really chill, GREAT drinks (strong too!), great music. We even tagged the wall; we didn't have a sharpie so we asked the bartender and... More

This place is definitely a place everyone should stop in for a quick beer. It has a fun, divey atmosphere and the bar tenders ensure you get that "you're welcome, but your not welcome" vibe. There's a juke box which hasn't been updated for a decade. There's graffiti all over the walls. The lighting is dim at best. All of... More
