A lot of hotels on a white stretch of sandy beach. The hotels take the kelp off each morning. Try to get a balcony facing ocean. ESJ Towers had great rates and they don't charge resort fees.

First, The El San Juan Hotel Sunday nights has a HOT Latin Band (Drinks are pricey, but it keeps the riff raff away). Bebo's and Resposteria Espanol is nearby. Oh, and there's a BEACH!

Beach is open and safe, people are friendly. Plenty of restaurants and a Walgreen's just in case. We were able to walk down the strip at all times of day and night.

We took a cruise out of San Juan and spent a few days in Puerto Rico before we left. Isla Verde is where we ended up most of the time. The beach there is a lot of fun. Very pretty. Lots of waves. There are tons of hotels and casino's. We enjoyed our time there.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriot in San Juan and it was the last hotel on the strip heading east and the beach next to the hotel was a public beach that was the best beach we experienced and we drive 500 miles all over the island looking for a decent beach. It was clean with calm waters and soft... More

We are definitely considering a move from the Texas gulf coast to this amazing place. The only draw back is traffic and parking. The language barrier is more difficult than we thought it would be. but they make up for it in courtesy.

We stayed at Isla Verde area and the beach is nice and the the water is terrific. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas to rent and there are good short waves if you surf.

First time to this beach. Nice beach, with good waves and water. I kind of like condado better as it has more options to eat a nice lunch.

This is another amazing tourist area, 5 star hotels, shops and restaurants are everywhere, a beautiful long beach is hidden behind all these manificient hotels, we spent more than 2 hours walking here and there and almost knew all the hotels, the San Juan Hotel and the Ritz Carlton are lovely and Charming, although the Marriott we stayed in Condado... We rode bikes there all the way from Condado Avenue and Ashford and loved every minute of it! I highly recommend renting bikes and taking the trip. A taxi there is between $15 and $20 but riding bikes was fun, easy, and you get a great view right on the ocean!
