El Conquistador is an established Puerto Rican resort. Have visited and played the course several times. Having lunch at the hotel and following it with a round of golf is a delight. The food is excellent but the views are breath taking. The golf course is a constant challenge with the meandering around the hill side. The views are novel... More

Golf at the El Conquistador in Fajardo, Puerto Rico was a great way to start the New Year off! This is what you have to do if you come in on a Cruise Ship. Call the Pro Shop and make a Tee Time. 7878631000 Ask for the rate they give the Hotel Guests. Get a Cab at the Gate and... More

One of the prettiest golf courses I have ever played. As a single digit handicapper I found it most difficult. The course has numerous dramatic tee shots that drop in elevation (50 to 100 to 200 feet) and while that is attractive coming from Houston, the premium it puts on the tee shot will overtake the average player (given little... I can honestly say, the property, staff and overall experience at the El Conquistador was beyond reproach. Even though my original plans were focused on enjoying the many activities and adventures offered on the island the staff, island and water park were pleasant surprises. We worked with a Maricely del Río Santiago who helped resolve issues with our room (next... More

The up and down track made for many amazing views while golfing. As for the specifics, the course was very dry and the greens were in bad shape. Personally the grounds could have been in better shape for the price we paid.

This mountain course in the foothills around the El Con Hotel provides a serious challenge to golfers and great beauty. For the novice and the pro this course can punish you. It can also please you with it's lush vegetation, vistas, manicured fairways and greens. The price for locals is fair. Most resort courses in PR abuse tourists with their... More

We stayed in the casitas village. The room was actually quite nice and much better than the rooms at the main hotel where some friends stayed and said room was in need of major update and smelled like mildew. The casitas are very FAR from main hotel and to get down to ferry to go palomino island and/or the water... More

I really enjoyed my round here. The course is in great shape. But this may have been the most challenging course I have ever played. The course is very hilly so brush up on hitting sidehill, downhill and uphill lies. And the greens are tricky. Ask about the radio tower trick regarding the speed of greens before playing. There are... More

The course was in great shape after having dealt with a lot of rain. Lots of elevation changes and slope, making for a very strategic round of golf, ball placement is key. The views were stunning, the course very pretty, staff at the proshop, the starter, staff on the cart and at the snack bar were very friendly. We played... More
