Like others, my wife and I heard of the island of Culebra from Fodors and the concierge at our Hotel ( Conquistador ) on the mainland. Daunted by the ferry horror stories, we opted for a flight on Flamenco Air out of ( I think it was called ) - José Aponte de la Torre Airport not far from Fajardo... More

I was staying on the mainland and read ratings of this island being the 3rd most beautiful and felt I had to see it. There is no easy way to get there. There is a ferry but you hear horror stories of getting there two hours early to stand in line and then not get on the ferry. We booked... More

I have been here twice now, and each time I kick myself for not spending more time here. Too many daytrippers can dilute your experience as well. Trust me, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and I have traveled around the world. You want time here, you want to explore. You want to spend time on... More

We arranged a day in a small boat with a local charter company. The snorkeling is FABULOUS. However, be VERY CAREFUL of the rip current. My husband "saved" me, but the locals just sat on the beach watching. True, they had warned us, and my husband is a MUCH better swimmer than me, so my own fault. Just do be... More

Anaska wrote an inaccurate description of Culebra Beaches. Many of my relatives visited Mexico and left disappointed as well. The glossy pictures of Mexico was got my relatives attention. Just like them I prefer Culebra. The place is not for everybody.

Well after getting up at four in the morning, me and my family were excited about going to culebra and enjoying the beauty of the island and camping there as well ..but instead after waiting more than three hours in line to get the ferry tickets they were sold out, what really prompt me to write this review was the... WOW Beautfu.... heard about the place. took a cheap like 5 dollars ferry ride and camped ofr 2 nights in the campground literally steps from the ocean. Bring food as there is only a few tiny shops to buy stuff. There is a secret snorkling its a hike over a ridge or 2 on a tiny dirt trail but its... More

We took a ferry from Fajardo to get to this place. We went to Flamenco beach as we saw that it was recommended. This is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. No high rises, not even little buildings in sight when you're on the beach. It's just gorgeous, SOme parts have huge waves and others a perfectly... More
