I just came back from a trip to Culebra. If you have been to any island in the caribean, you will appreciate Culebra for its heat, constant weather, nice beaches and caribean food. The island is very similar to other like St Marteen or The Saint Island (South of Guadeloup). Getting in and out from there is the tricky part.... more

Jan 2007 Culebra was a beautiful experience but no one told me I had to arrive at the embarcadero 2 hours before the departure of the ferry. I was just awful. Very unorganized. They started selling tickets at 815 am even though the ferry supposed to departure at 900am!!!. There were hundreds of people waiting in line. Finally we were... more

My boyfriend and I just returned from a two day visit to Culebra. We stayed at Tamarindo Estates. The room was clean, the innkeepers friendly, and they did have additional welcomed features such as a movie collection and coolers and towels for general use. There are two reasons that I would probably not stay there again. Reason 1: the location-... more

Culebra Island was beautiful. The beach was beautiful, the sand was white and soft. This island is a hidden treasure! I took the 2.50 ferry both ways, it was not bad at all. It is a relacing island, not commercial. No jet skis, parasailing ect.... I can't wait to go back more

We just got back from a brief three night trip to Culebra, Puerto Rico. We flew into San Juan on Monday June 6 via American Airlines from Orlando, then took a hopper flight on Air Flamenco to Culebra. Our accommodations were at Tamarindo Estates on the West end of the island. We left on Thursday June 9 taking the 11:30... more

I was recently in Culebra with my wife on a writing assignment and stayed at two places where we felt pleasantly pampered, Costa Bonita Resort and Club Seabourne. Costa Bonita is not well known because it hasn't fully opened yet... it has had a "soft" opening. However the villas are first class, with all the comforts you expect of a... more

Culebra is a wonderful secret. However, it is NOT for everyone. My husband & I went last May and are just ready to depart again for Culebra in a week and can't wait. Culebra has NO resorts or even true hotels. If you like sterile, clean, air conditioned hotels with wait staff who will pamper you, you will hate it... more

We stayed on Vieques and took a ferry boat to Culebra for the day the Thursday after Easter 2005. Flamenco Beach was the best beach that I have ever seen! It was soooo clean. We were even able to do some snorkeling real close to the shore and saw several beautiful fish. We rented a umbrella for $7 /day and... more

We had a great time in Culebra last week. I can't give an "Excellent" review, because the island and the beaches are not pristine by any means in comparison to a lot of other beach environments in the Pacific and Asia that I've been to, but for proximity to NYC or other East Coast U.S. cities and for a total... more
