Frenchmans cove is one of the most beautiful beaches in Jamaica. For a small admission fee you walk through a very nice garden and enter a small, really clean beach locked on both sides by beautiful rock formations. On one side of the beach you will find a scenic little river with relatively cool fresh water. There you will find a... More

Beautiful beach with a large fresh water pool flowing into the cove. Rope swing, overhanging trees and greenery make this every bit as good as its movie appearances. Clearly on the map for visiting tours but enough space not to make this spoil a visit.

For a small admission fee, first class beach & service. On 3 visits, our group of 6 was basically the only people there. Have travelled extensively through beach vacations in Hawaii, Caribbean and central america and very difficult to think of a place that comes close to this. Ocean water was very clear and warm and connected to a freshwater... More

Great beach, sunbeds, restaurant, restrooms, security. Swimming in ocean or river. Golden sand, calm waters. Nice gardens to stroll through. A little stall with jewelry and souvenirs as you leave.

$10 US per person ($5 for under 12) for a beautiful and clean beach. Amazing location where the freshwater river meets the Caribbean Sea. Great waves in the sea, and calm shallow water in the river. The food was decent and reasonably priced to have lunch on site.

laze on the beach, have lunch and drinks brought to you right where you lay .. nothing better than a dip in the cool river which meets the sea.

Although rough, its one of the best beaches in Jamaica. Children will love the river. The food is also very good.

Sea, sun, food, just stunningly original. Unchanged really since it was first discovered. Totally uncommercialised.

Lacking local atmosphere but is the most breathtaking cove beach ever, cool river winds through tropical gardens to a fantastic beach cove. Delicious food (takes ages so order early) go for steam fish with okra and veg! Not cheap but a lovely place to visit.

We only stayed for a few minutes as it started to rain but the beach looked great. Small and private. Easy to swim especially if you have kids. There was a restaurant on the beach.
