lazy day

laze on the beach, have lunch and drinks brought to you right where you lay .. nothing better than a dip in the cool river which meets the sea.

Although rough, its one of the best beaches in Jamaica. Children will love the river. The food is also very good.

Sea, sun, food, just stunningly original. Unchanged really since it was first discovered. Totally uncommercialised.

Lacking local atmosphere but is the most breathtaking cove beach ever, cool river winds through tropical gardens to a fantastic beach cove. Delicious food (takes ages so order early) go for steam fish with okra and veg! Not cheap but a lovely place to visit.

We only stayed for a few minutes as it started to rain but the beach looked great. Small and private. Easy to swim especially if you have kids. There was a restaurant on the beach.

Frenchman's Cove has hurricane damage and not as nice as it once was. Also, they now charge to even look at the beach. $10/person. Seems a high cover charge for even a peak. Go to San San instead.

We stay at the Frenchman Cove resort, than our acess to the beach was free. The nature is so so amazing, and you feel the real happiness. The clear river runs to the beach, you can see the fishes and the bottom of the see/river. It's better swim in sunny days, you dont feel cold and the water stays more... More

Truly one of the best little beaches in the world. The water is stunning and you get a choice of lying in the sea or in the freshwater basin! It's beautiful and you will want to go back.

I have been to this beach plenty times. Frenchman cove is a perfect example of the problems with Jamaica! No love for the poor people. No love for local Jamaicans. Everything is taxed and owned by foreigners. It is disgusting. It is only Jamaica that would charge so much to enter a beach. Not only that, but the actual beach... More

This place is quite beautiful, one does have to admit - though the beach is a bit narrow and the price is a bit too much for what it is. Although i loved swimming here, I wouldn't say it was one of the best beaches in Jamaica. Love the little river at the side though :)
