Frenchman's Cove property is really beautiful with a fresh water stream meandering throughout and entering in the sea at the beach. The beach is clean and depending on the weather and wind can be anything from a calm sea to big waves. One of the most photographed spots on the island and a filming location for many feature films.

We were early arrivals and found other visitors, locals, and staff at the beach area very engaging. Restaurant on the beach was great for local seafood, Jamaican style, of course!

Frenchman Cove is worth a look. 8km out from PA and bus fare was $100 from Folly Oval. $700 to enter and the burger and fries was passable. Beautiful clear stream runs through the property. Nice enough beach to grab some sun on. Water was fairly choppy the day I was there but definitely a nice (but little) beach to... More

Frenchman's Cove is a perfect little cove of a beach. Usually its very calm but when we were ther is was quite rough. Despite this we enjoyed jumping in the waves! There is a nice little river that runs into the sea here and it was a great spot to enjoy some calm and cooler water--very refreshing! While it does... More

Loved relaxing on the white sandy beach where a cool fresh water river runs into the warm blue raging sea.

I have never been to a beach so beautiful, and I've been to many! The river that runs into the sea is a unique feature that allows for two different experiences while there. We had a great time and we knew how beautiful it was because it was raining!

Frenchman's Cove is a beautiful spot, but we were shocked by the treatment that was given to our friend who accompanied us. He happens to be a black Jamaican, and the waiter did not want to serve him lunch. He gave my husband and I (who are white Americans) menus, but not our friend. This experience upset us all so... Beautiful, clean, non-crowded beach! Really unique to have both the ocean and a river right there - the sea is lovely but the freshwater, calm river is also great for swimming and so refreshing! It is an $8US admission per person but well worth the price, both for the clean beach, but also to be hassle-free from no vendors inside... More

This is a nice little private beach, overlooked by cliffs on either side. I'm not the most confident swimmer though and it was very choppy when we were there. There is a stream/river that runs around into the sea which is also nice to swim in. We ate at the restaurant on site, overlooking the beach. It was basic (order... More

700 J's gets you in and it's totally worth it!! Calm beautiful waters, and dramatic colors! The river that empties into the cove is just as beautiful as the ocean. It's easy to see why this ranks as one of the world's best beaches. Park your towel under some shade and sleep the afternoon away in a magical spot!!
