If you go to negril stay there on one of the smaller hotels. You can walk the entire beach from resort to resort which is cool instead of being locked into one place.

Loved to walk the beach, most vendors just leave you alone if you politely say no but there are a few who persist and then are clearly not happy when you don't buy something from them

White powdery sand, crystal clear blue water, starfish, stingray, barracuda, you can walk for.... literally 7 miles. This beach is amazing, a must for anyone who enjoys a long walk. Just be aware if you walk to the right hand side of the beach you will reach Hedonism, not for the faint hearted, an experience nevertheless. Along this beach you... More

Beautiful long beach with white soft sand. Great for long walks and water was very clear and calm. I have stayed in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Negril and this is my favorite for beach and also for sunset pictures.

white sand beach with clear blue water and the water was shallow all along the beach so it made for a great place to take long walks!!

Warm clear water. Not much seaweed. Easy to walk in and out of the sea, no sudden drops once in sea, shallow waters.

We were there for a week and I found that there were too many tourists and partiers and too much ganga smoke to suit us. We like less crouded areas.
