This club is next to where we were staying at the Fun Holiday. It is a pretty simple bar and the enteratinemt was good. Of course you would have to watch out for the higglers, and you may very well get propositioned by one of the working girls that haunt the place, but the environment is fun and the band... More

They had great pancakes and the fresh fruit was good. I felt bad for the waiter because the kitchen was so far away from the table area. The lobster was pretty good and the jerk chicken was also good. Nice place on the beach.

The walk into Roots Bamboo on a concert night (every night?) is sketchy, but the place does not disappoint. Filled with locals and tourists, this is a place where everyone has a great time drinking and dancing.

Great place to meet people, reasonably priced drinks. Listen to the music played by the live band. Plenty of locals also gather here to meet tourists, really enjoyable. Most of the bars on the beach charge an entrance fee, no fee here which is a pleasant change.

The actual venue is a nice place with good music but don't dare to take a stroll down the beach. We live close to Atlanta so we are used to people asking you for money or change and whatnot. But let me say the Jamaican panhandlers are relentless. We were hassled for money from the time we went into this... More

Arrived at about midnight on a Wednesday with my husband and the spot was JUMPING!!! You could stay in the bar area to watch the show, or out near the beach by the bonfire. No wait at all at the bar (LOVE that Red Stripe Light Ginger). Lots of locals, and not too many hagglers, there were only 3 that... More

We were told this is the local spot to be on Wednesday nights, so we checked it out. Things don't get started until at least 10:30-11:00. It's definitely a local hangout. Live reggae band, lots of people smoking. Very laid back atmosphere, right on the beach, but also lots of people wanting to haggle with you (sell you their goods),... More

We went to two reggae gigs here and had great nights. Things kick off after 10pm and you are in for a show in more ways than one. You have to check out Reverend BB and the Hurricane Band. The gigs attract the most colourful Rastafari and they are all super friendly. roots has the best and fastest bartender on... More
