Unlike Bob Marley's spot being over-rated and too commercial, (and my visit to Negril was too short to make the trip), I found Peter Tosh's Monument and Memorial Garden to be very laid back. Given some of the mixed reviews of this place, one must be a die hard music lover and fan, to really appreciate this. It turned out... More

Not sure it is worth the drive unless you plan to go to the annual festival. This year was the 3rd annual and the crowds have grown. Vendors sell food and crafts. It is anything but your typical tourist experience. Try it.

This is a good drive from Negril, an old Jamaican friend and I revisited this place, very nostalgic.

On our way home from to Negril from YS falls, our taxi driver stopped here for 20 min so we could see Peter Tosh's monument. Its free to walk in and see where he is put to rest, on the property he grew up on, as our driver explained. I guess his Mom still lives there? It would be interesting... More

A peaceful reprieve from the bustle of the nearby Negril, Peter Tosh's tomb is a must for anyone with an interest in reggae and Jamaica's musical culture. We visited in February 2010 and met Peter's mother, who we were told recently by friends from Westmoreland still lives on the property at age 97. When we were there three years ago,... More

Just a piece of hisstory, did not go in. I think the charge to enter was either $10 or $20, we just listened to a man telling the history out front.

It's been 10 years since we were there. Amazing how this has changed. There was no entry fee, per say. I'm sure the driver paid some of the cash we gave him to these guys. We hired a driver, this was one of the stops. When I asked the driver why we were here, he said to pay respect to... More

20 US dollars each is just not on. The guide book, 2 years old, said 6. There is very little to see, just the garden and the grave. Pablo might seem like a very nice person but doesn't tell you much, and I'd seriously like to know why they think they should charge so much money. Does Mum get it?... More
