Went to Floyd's Pelican Bar on June 16th. So glad we went. The place is just too cool. It was everything I thought it would be and more. Took a boat over from the Black River. Climbed out and into an amazing driftwood, rustic bar sitting on a sandbar in the middle of the ocean. The ocean breezes felt so... more

We loved Floyd's! The food was fantastic, the view was great, the ambiance was cool. The people that ran the bar and drove the boats to get to the bar were excellent as well. The place looks like it will just fall over, but it's surprisingly sturdy. People like to sign the interior of the building, and there's even a... more

Had to go to the Pelican bar at least once just to see it for ourself''s and boy I was so glad I did. What a cool hand-out for the afternoon. A trip was pre-arranged by other's on trip adviser prior to arrival in Negril thru Talk of the town tours. Sienna was so sweet, nice, and very informative through... more

I've been to Pelican Bar twice now, both times on the way from Treasure Beach to Black River. For this journey, it is situated in an ideal spot - you've been riding waves in a fast open motorboat, you've seen some dolphins, but the beer you brought for th river trip is now running out. Enter Floyd, the entrepreneur who... more

Just an amazing spot! A must see! We booked our trip there with Talk of the Town Tours and combined it with a Black River Safari. Would definitely recommend. Let me know if you have any questions; I'm happy to help! more

My husband and I went to the Pelican Bar in June 2008 using Talk of the Town. We combined the day with YS Falls and was by far one of the best days we had on the island. Sienna w/ TOTT arranged ahead of time for us to have lunch at the Pelican Bar. The fresh fish was caught earlier... more

After reading about The Pelican Bar on TripAdvisor we knew we just had to go there and see if for ourselves. We decided to combine the YS Falls and Pelican Bar trip all in one and went with TOTTT to do it. Our tour guide was Barry and he is absolutely awesome!! He was with us every step of the... more

The pelican bar is just one of these things you do not want to miss! There are several ways to get there, from Black River or Jake's, if you're staying around there. It's worth it. It's about a mile off the coast, you can just have a nice swim, or sit and have a beer. Drinks are not expensive at... more

FLOYD's Pelican Bar is a must do as far as touring Jamaica goes. Unfortunately Floyd does not have a website, but you can find his number ([--]) on the Floyd's Pelican Bar Group page on Facebook. If you call Floyd in advance he'll even make you lunch (lobster is 900J $12US and fish is 600J $9US). The food is great... more

What can I say?! It was almost spiritual - what an awesome experience! It was so cool to be there - especially on my 40th Birthday!! We've been to the island 4 times (with this being our 4th) we've done pretty much most of the standard stuff and were looking for an adventure - especially for my 40th birthday. We... more
