My teenage daughters swam with the dolphins. The event was well organized by highly skilled trainers. The trainers gave individual attention to the swimmers, abiding by their wishes with regards to what they wanted to participate in (one daughter wanted to do everything; one daughter did not want to have the dolphins push her into the air). Book early; arrive... more

We didn't swim with the dolphins but just went to the beach party and explored Dolphin Cove. What a great day, so much to see and everyone was so friendly. Shane, the DJ at the Beach Party, was the friendliest and most helpful person on vacation (and we were on a cruise). Don't miss Dolphin Cove and say hi to... more

My husband and I have always wanted to do this, so we signed up for the "swim with the dolphins" program. Although it was very expensive (about $500 for the 2 of us, including our transportation and tipping) it was worth the money. We were in the water for about 1/2 hour with the dolphins. We did 2 swims: one... more

This was so awesome! You can actually swim out to the dolphins in the lagoon. They also have iguanas and a snake you can hold. Its a huge place alot to look at and stores to go inside. They do record your time with the dolphin and take alot of pics. You get to swim, pet, kiss and get pulled... more

It was fun... I did the deep encounter with two dolphins. I felt like it was a bit short- the dorsal fin push that is. I've always wanted to do it so I'm glad I did. I loved the part when they pushed me out of the water like i was water skiing .Just felt it was a bit over... more

If you are going to Dolphins Cove to swim with the Dolphins then it is a must see. If you are going for the beach then you may want to choose somewhere else. We chose this as part of our excursion while on a cruise. We were to have a private cabana, foot massage and butler service. I will start... more

It was a wonderful experience, loads of time in with the dolphins who seemed to enjoy it all as much as the humans. You will be able to buy some great photos on disc, expensive but a good souvenir. But be warned. The discs they use are very thin, poor quality & after a few viewings mine cracked in my... more

Visited Dolphin Cove on Monday, March 30th. We were staying nearby at RIU Ochio Rios (excellent hotel) and our travel agent had arranged transportation and our swim time at 1:30 pm. We arrived early, did the boat ride out into the ocean - the boat driver took our picture with the water fall in the background - that was a... more

Was there over Thanksgiving 2008 - slow season and maybe was part of the problem. There were not many people there - so some activities not done - no Shark Show. Also, they shut down the kayak and mini-boat rides because they said was too rough - but it didn't seem it to me - and no reduction in any... more
