This was an amazing experience and something you have to do when visiting Jamaica. The falls are like nothing I have ever seen, beautiful. I won't lie the climb isn't for the faint hearted especially the first five minutes. The rapids are coming fast and you can't see through the water to make sure you have a good footing, however... This is one attraction that must be done if visiting Jamaica. My wife and I were not going to climb the falls but leave it to our children (18 & 21) as we do not not have particularly good health, but we were told to speak to a guide when we got there which we did who said he would... More

My husband and I drove here from Negril in the morning. There were signs and no issues to locate - we did not have to pay for parking. Entrance fees were $20 US and then they recommend wearing water shoes which I bought for $10 by the entrance. (I am glad I did since it made the climb up the... More

Ocho Rios was one of our ports during a cruise we took in April. We hired a driver, who took us to Dunn's River Falls and some other places. There is a side area where you can videotape your family/friends if you don't want to climb the falls. This is what I decided to do because I have climbed the... More

Pretty cool to see. It's one of those things that you should do once but it is a bit commercialized. Bring non slip shoes to wear. Be aware that there are people there that want to help you take a picture but then stick by you the whole way with your camera and want tips.

Did the falls and the bobsled. The sled was that a hoot. The falls were a challenge for a lot of people with chilly water. Should try at least once.

Our extended family (ages 9-70) all really enjoyed climbing these amazing falls. We didn't know quite what to expect, but were blown away by the adventure. It was my kiddos favorite adventure of our cruise. Those in our group less adventurous and sure-footed followed the guide, held hands, and safely traversed the easier path, while the thrill seeking kids made... More

This is a great trip, especially if you do it via the catamaran. It is fun to climb the falls with a guide, and the guide and accompanying photographers do a lot of fun things on the way up. The clime is not that strenuous, and everybody holding hands helps to keep from falling. A lot of emphasis is placed... More

So you climb from the beach to almost 1000' up the falls. You're in the rushing water the entire time. The Guides are terrific and dedicated to making sure you have a fun and safe time. Just the right mix of fun and caution. This was far and away the most fun thing we did in Jamaica.

We came to dunns river as a group. Cruise ship day to be precise. We were on a pre booked tour. We rent shoes before we got to duns river. The female security at the gate harassed us a bit about the shoes we were wearing. She was forcing us to buy water shoes. Not cool!!! Someone should talk to... More
