Shaw Park is the sight of a 1920s hotel that over the years has become mostly an attraction. The grounds are quite beautiful in a Caribbean way, with a spectacular waterfall and a very unique pool. The best part though was our guide. An elderly gentleman with an encyclopedic knowledge of the flora, he walked us through the history of... More

The park itself is 4 star but our tour guide was exceptionally friendly knowledgeable. It was raining so didn't see all of it but loved it anyway.

Off the main highway turn south at Milford Rd. Go up past high school a short distance and look for sign. Turn right and follow the signs. Expect to pay $10 per person. There will be a guide there to show you around the gardens and then leave you to play in the waterfall and adjoining pool. All in all... More

Shaw Park Gardens is a serene wonder to behold. My wife and I went after arriving in Ocho Rios in the late afternoon. We had the park and a guide (Percy) all to ourselves. Percy was really very knowledgeable about all the plants and trees which were just incredible. Words can't describe their beauty plus the view of the city... More

We walked here from Ocho, just a couple of kilometres up the hill. No-one else was there as no cruise ships were in adn the gardens and waterfalls are really lovely. At $10 it's much better value than Coyaba Falls (Now called Konoko falls and charging £20). If there's no-one at the bar and you want a drink, don't worry... More

Spectacular views of Ocho Rios, use the guides - they are very knowledgeable. Walk around yourself after the tour to get a better look at the gardens. Magnificent trees. You can walk from Ocho Rios if you are adventurous - we enjoyed the walk and it was not in any way threatening as suggested in the guide books.

Vincent gave us a wonderful educational tour of the gardens. Very quiet, no crowds. Abundant plants and flowers of all varieties. Loved it. No swimming allowed, but the waterfall is lovely.

My 10 year old son and I took a taxi here from our resort in Runaway Bay and we both loved it. We were lucky enough to be the only visitors that day. The gardens are spectacular and if you love flowers and foliage, it's a dream. We really felt that we had stepped into a lush oasis and our... More

This park is a fantastic place to enjoy flowers and spend time in nature. Ronold was our guide and he did a great job showing us the garden.
