It was an interesting trip. To be some of the most expensive coffee in the world, the manufacturing plant is very low tech. It was worth seeing to see how a major industry in Jamaica operates. More

A group of nine visited the factory Oct. 6, 2008. Barbara gave a wonderful tour explaining everything from the coffee cherries to the storage, curing, and roasting of the beans. We saw the beans being sorted by a number of workers. After the tour we enjoyed a taste of freshly brewed coffee. The charge was $5 US per person. Barbara... More

A group of 8 of us went on a tour of the Mavis Bank Coffee Factory recently. Be prepared when the tour guide tells you that the fee is Jamaican $500. What they mean is $500 per person and at the end of a very short tour with nothing special to see about the process you may end up with... More
