My daughter and I did a day long tour that included a visit to the Estate. It was beautiful and the tour guide did a great job with history or rum making in Jamaica. The rum tasting was great also. The drive from Ocho was both breath taking and terrifying. A great day trip.

Oh this was the best part of the trip, well worth the ride for the Resort. The tour was great and you could just smell the rum as soon as you got off the bus.. LOL AT the end of the tour you were allowed to taste 15 different rums. Yum!

I came to visit Jamaica with 5 other girlfriends. We went for my sisters birthday, so we wanted to do all kinds of stuff. We came to this tour, which was suggested by our resort. Takes alot of keep us entertained, & we were. The compound is grand and very green. My fave part was the samples they give you,... More

This is an entertaining and educational tour--and well worth the $25 admission. You are able to see how fine rum is made each and every step of the way, starting with the juice being extracted from the sugar cane. In addition, you can taste the product at various stages: sugar cane juice, wet sugar, etc. As others have said, you... More

They start this tour off with a rum punch and end it sampeling like 10 different kind of rum and if the group drank all of one kind they would replace it so you could taste as much as you wanted for about an hour

The trip up the Jamaican road leaves a lot to be desired. Take some water, stop for the ginger beer and maybe something to calm your stomach. It is a windy bumpy road and most of us were car sick. The Appleton Estates tour was really fun. I have been using their rum for many years, now I know why... More

Initially, The Appleton Estate tour may seem pricey ($25 USD). However, once you calculate the experience in addition to the amount of alcohol you will consume, it is well worth the price. The staff was very friendly and easy-going. "Jamaica No Problem" The tour begins with a couple of cups of authentic Jamaican rum punch, and then you learn the... More

We saw the Appleton Estate with a tour to the Southcoast that we booked through our hotel. The Estate was the first place that we visited but they gave us sandwhiches before we did the tour so that when we did the tastings after the tour you have something in your stomach. It was neat seeing how the used to... More
