Half of my family is Jamaica but this was the first time I had been back that I was finally of age to go and savor Appleton Estate Rum. For some reason, though it was obviously not the first time I had consumed Appleton it was the best rum I have ever tasted! So clearly, setting plays a big part... More

The tour of the distillery was very interesting and informative, conducted by a great guide who was entertaining and informative. Loved the rum tasting with all you can consume. The drive from the cruise ship is over mountains on rugged roads in a bus that had poor suspension, fortunately we had a stop for a break. The provided lunch was... More

Appleton Estate Rum is the best in the world. A short distance from Treasure Beach to the Estate. Joy Spence Master Distiller knows how to make some tasty rum!!!

I really enjoyed this trip to Appleton estates, I'd visited Cuba and did the Santiago de Cuba tour and this tour was more informative plus instead of one tot of rum in Cuba you get to taste 13 different ones here so that makes the visit well worthwhile ...my partner and I also got to turn this big wheel that... They take you through the process in this factory, taste different proof of rum. Great place to get to know how they produce this island pride brand. Take it easy though, you can get drunk pretty fast just by tasting them all.

This was a surprisingly interesting tour - there were many implements and machines used to make rum traditionally and the person leading the tour gave an overview of how the process has changed through the centuries, including how the aging process works. Additionally, they walk you through the steps of the conversion of the sugar cane and let you sample... More

The Tour was VERY informative. We were lucky and got a tour for just my wife and I. We have been through Tulamore Dew, Jameson, in Ireland, and New Orleans Rum, so we have a base to compare this one against. They do the cane growing, crushing, and distilling is done at this facility, but the barrel aging, mixing, and bottling... More

The drive to the estate was picturesque. The guides knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was short and filled with interesting information. The best part? All the sampling of the many products of Appleton at the end of the tour! A must visit when in Jamaica.

That was what we kept asking ourselves and our driver as embarked on a three-hour odyssey to the Appleton Estate. Our first mistake was going straight there after our flight from Miami to Montego Bay. It's a very short flight but we weren't prepared for the bone-jarring, twisting and turning carnival ride. The roads are poor (although I've seen worse)... More

The tour is not worth the money they are charging and I really must say: they are very arrogant. Go to the supermarket and buy a bottle of Rum and you get more for your money
