we hired a private car from Montego Bay. Really enjoyed our guided tour by our driver. We were able to see and learn a little bit about life in Jamaica. Our Appleton Estate Tour guide was fabulous, we learned the history, the process and so much more! As soon as you arrive they offer you a Rum drink, have the Rum... More

I really enjoyed this tour. More so than the Bacardi Factory in PR. It was cool getting to see the whole process, from seeing how it used to be done, tasting the molasses, to seeing the warehouse with the aging rum, to the rum sampling. Very hospitable staff. I would recommend this tour to anyone going.

We did this tour which included Appleton Rum Tour, YS Warerfalls, and the Black River boat tour. Great day, long, but well worth it. All beautiful and Rum sampling, Mmm Mmm. The Black River Tour was brill, and we saw an osprey and crocodiles, very informative guide.

This is a great little tour! Lots of interesting history (including a donkey who presses the sugar cane;) The complimentary rum punch was some of the best I ever had! Price of the tour---and prices in the gift shops---were very reasonable. Nice way to spend a rainy day,

I'm more of a nature adventurer, so these kinds of tours don't attract me that much, but my husband wanted to go. When you get there you sign up for a your group and some take you around the estate. You see the distillery, the aging house, and old tools used to make rum. After the tour you do a... More

I enjoyed that tour, the history of how rhum used to be made, got a little bit too technical at times but nothing painful.. it's not a very long tour but our guide Normand made sure to make it a funny experience.. I especially like seeing the rooms filled with containers of rhum.. best part was last when they leave... More

Our tour guide Norman was very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. There wasn't much that I disliked. I can't change the location (it's pretty far) but other than that well worth the admission fee.

This was an excellent tour. Getting the history of how the rum was made and seeing the estate was amazing. Loved the fact that they are environmentally friendly by reusing the stuff like sugar cane. Got a bit more understanding on the value of each appleton rum and understood the aging process.
